I am not sure if there are many who feel like me at this point..
But I cannot stand John Cena at this moment.

His feud with Brock (or the build towards the feud) was great, and his raps were intense as hell.
But right now they just seem to be little bits of everything, just some name dropping and at the end a "funny" little spiel with the crowd..which doesn't make sense if he is supposed to be a heel.

His in-ring skills are alright but he doesn't show anything outstanding. Now I know the heels aren't supposed to be flashy but a nice move or two wouldn't hurt and I hardly recall him doing anything in the past few weeks. (note - I havent seen this weeks SD! yet so he probably breaks out all sorts of sweet stuff here)

I am sure some of us here will say WWE is using him wrong, but he seems to be getting a major push and plenty of time to put himself over, and for me at least his stock has gone down the drain the past few weeks.

*sigh* Why bother?

I'm just now starting to like him. He's original, probably the first rapper they haven't tried to push as a total joke character

Me too. I was never really into him at first, but his character is really growing on me lately.

BTW.....did you see how over he was with the crowd as he left the ring after his match with Funaki ?

I think they've notice that he has been getting some face heat lately, and tweaked his "raps" accordingly. They probably don't need to tweak his gimmick too much, because doing a rap gimmick, you can enter lame territory quite quickly.

I think he looks OK in the ring, and I like his F-U finisher, which I think is quite impressive since they've let him do it to some big folks.

This is probably just the cynic in me, but I would hope his stock is not dropping among some on the internet just because the "top brass" did some name dropping of their own in that shareholder's meeting, and his was one of the names they dropped.

All in all, he's one the few guys who has been able to run with the ball when they give it to him. That guy has gotten himself over.

He reminds me a lot of Kurt Angle's first year (minus the freakish wrestling ability.)

It's just you against the group mind.

Cena's great - his whole gimmic is so fresh and he does it so well, connecting with the crowd. Plus he's intense and isn't bad in the ring... definitely could be a main eventer making WWE lots of money in the near future if they play their cards right.

Cena should stay heel for the time being, since I'm afraid that a face rapper character would quickly go the way of Too Cool or PN News. Maybe he can win the US belt.

but if it's really good
you're gonna need a bigger room

you might have to think of
how you got started in your little room
