A Dance off? WTF? I was laughing my ass off.

And, Bryce losing it over the bird, and his "I WANNA TALK TO PIPER" spiel was hilarious.

Nice, touching tribute to Montecore, complete with BEACHES reference.

And, Amanada (is that the new girls name?) Is actually starting to look REAL hot to me. Dont know what it is.
Her and Tim look like they have some real chemistry between them, she was all over him when he came back to the house.

Next week, two hour finale! CANT WAIT!

The dance-off pretty much tied with the Montecore-less falcon twist (complete with countdown and really fake sounding gasps). Not their best episode of the season, but still very good.

Since Bryce and Derek were around the corner behind a tall fence, I halfway expected to see them cutting up while he was screaming, but it was probably safer not to after the previous run-in with the guitar.

I imagine it's pretty much the character that the writers have created for Ingrid, but she's fallen off the attractive scale to me; she just seems so smarmy now. Amanda, yes, was very impressive yesterday.

For next week, I'm wondering how Bryce fits in there. The preview showed some really bizarre stuff, including a stuffed Montecore-esque "thing" (All I could compare it to is the clockwork owl from Clash of the Titans with smatterings of feathers glued on).

Also Tim seems to be catching on in some small way. Apparently the Truman Show reference in his exit speech was just him quoting a movie, not him figuring anything out (per the official blog). Amanda, bless her heart, is completely on the hook.

I'm also curious to see how they let Tim and Amanda down easy. Amanda, I'm not so worried about, but Piper's comments in the preview as well as how things must seem to Tim having been brought back and chosen first for the candle ceremony had to have him really attached. At least Ingrid got picked before Amanda in this ceremony.

I'm kind of suprised Gerrald got the axe instead of TJ, but it did give them the chance to do the Gerrald/Austin scene with the music and all.

For me, the bathroom humor with TJ having the worst case of diarhea ever was hysterical, but they overdid it when he messed his own pants.

They should have Piper "catch" his intestinal virus - hot chicks on the can = RATINGS!

I was gald we got to see Bryce one more time, it looked like Tim was going to take a swing at him - "Did you kill the f***ing bird?"

But my favorite line was Gerrald, after the dance off, taking off his watershoes saying get these damn things off me!

Based on the previews, I don't know if Tim has a clue to everything or is it Piper's paranoia?

Tim is reminding me more and more of Matt last season, he seems to be a genuinely nice guy who'll go along with a lot in order to help everyone share a few laughs and have a good time. I liked his comments about TJ hiding the watershoes being freaking hilarious, but still probably over the line.

"You act like you've been in a dance off before"

"Seven and 0 baby!"

I laughed so hard at that!

For me, it was the comment from Gerrald to the tune of "Flashdance, 20th anniversary DVD, biatch!"

Also, I've seen it creep up on a couple of other places, but did anyone else catch the line lifted off of the Hutch with "F*** this C***S****** show!!!"? Excellent!

I loved Geralds flashdance comment, and TJ's Diarhea. I hope they bring back Matt or maybe even the Hutch for the finale. Tim is definitley going to end up with Piper or Amanda. i like Ingrid a olt better when she wasn't an actor. And what was the truman show line

The major difference that I've noticed between this season and last, is that last season seemed to be about creating a story, and putting Matt in the middle of it. As such, they spent a lot of time fleshing out the other characters to create this story.

This season seems to be about putting Tim and Amanda in these crazy situations and watching them react. They've almost given up trying to give these actors "characters", they've pretty much let them fly by the seat of their pants. But despite that, they've created some compelling characters on their own, perhaps because they're letting a little their personality come through.

As such, watching Tim and Amanda has been pure joy. And has anyone else noticed that they're always paired up together? There's definitely some chemistry there, and I wonder if Tim and Amanda don't wind up together.

And remember, if it doesn't kill you, you ain't dead!

HairRaiser, where can I find this "official blog"? It's not on the Spike website, is it?

I think I laughed the hardest when Gerrald was leaving, they kept on showing him in slow motion with the music, then Austin, then him, back to Austin, etc...hilarious.

"I'm very sorry the government taxes their tips, that's fucked up. That ain't my fault. It would seem to me that waitresses are one of the many groups the government fucks in the ass on a regular basis. Look, if you ask me to sign something that says the government shouldn't do that, I'll sign it, put it to a vote, I'll vote for it, but what I won't do is play ball. Gerrald rules the school, I mean "7 and 0 in dance off's" and "Flashdance 20th Anniversary DVD" both classic lines. Plus him & Austin romantic music during the elimination. He was also great when blowing out TJ candle twice expecting TJ to do the right thing and leave on his own just like the stipulation says. Gawd I hate TJ, from day one I found him lame. I guess they can say he's a heel but he's not even that good at that for Tim & co. Oh well... Surprised naa actually SHOCKED Amanda voted pro-TJ during the Dance off. I thought TJ actions would have turned her off enough to vote Gerrald.

Tim confronting Bryce about the bird was awesome, Amanda looked freaked having to sit almost between the two, Ingrid behind Bryce was doing everything in her not to show herself cracking up as she was covering her face the entire time LoL... Nice catch HairRaiser of Bryce repeating the famous Hutch elimination quote "F-this C-S*cking show" haha.

I'm always weirded out seeing Gerald since as a kid I used to watch Street Cents with Jonathan Torrance, and even watched his crummy talk show Jonovision.

When the CBC is one of only 4 channels you get as a kid, you kind of have to watch it. Because of that it sort of made him into a minor celebrity for me, so it keeps blowing my mind that they (Tim, Amanda, Ingrid) didn't know who he was.

Of course realistically I know that it's because he's just a CanCon filler for the CBC

He's actually a super-nice guy, too. I've met him numerous times through various contacts within the Halifax "showbiz" community. It's good to see him get a little mainstream exposure.

It's funny, if I'd seen the phrase "super-nice guy" and the name "Jonathan Torrens" in the same sentence 5 years ago I would have laughed for days. Probably because I watched him "be the celebrity" in public a couple of times in the heyday of the original Street Cents cast.

(Only a Canadian, and probably a Maritimer, could write a paragraph as pathetic as the one above. My apologies to all).

That said, I've met him once or twice since and he seems to have totally mellowed out (how could he not, playing "J-Rock" on Trailer Park Boys, I guess). His sister Jackie is one of the most talented human beings I have ever met. She spent a season or more on "Made in Canada" (called "The Industry" in the States when it ran there, I think), a show that will never get its due.

I was actually a fan of the original Joe Schmoe; knowing that Mr. Torrens is representing on v2.0 almost makes me wish I had cable.

I just saw the episode the other day during the marathon, and I had a laugh at the fact that Gerald's nickname among the cast is apparently "Hard G." Jon Torrens just killed this role; he, Bryce and Eleanor were definitely the MVPs of this Schmoe cast.
