Got my hopes up, I thought he was going away for good. Instead, we'll have him babbling about a cookbook all summer instead of calling matches.

I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.

Smart move-I'm sure it was frustrating for Jim to have so much attention placed on his column every week. I hope there is some periodic mention of developing and injured wrestlers, though.

Funny, I can't access it. Either he is fixing mistakes, or the Evil Pod Ross played a trick on Good Ol JR.

Is it a coincidence that JR took his ball and went home the same week Flea left him off the IWC Top 100 List?

I once put together an 800 piece jigsaw puzzle and only had to use 500 pieces.

JR didn't take his ball and go home, he has better things to do with WWE than to write a report that was supposed to be a service to the fans that don't do anything but criticize it and twist it around. For some reason, I actually understand what JR is saying when he talks about needing time for other things. Makes sense.

Come on, dude. Can you name ANYTHING on the Net that isn't criticized and twisted around?
If you hang your balls out there on the Web, they are going to get pummelled from time to time.

True - and I guess he's especially pissed because business is bad late. He seems to get really offended lately when people criticize the product and its falling ratings. I think it's cause he, and the majority of the company, try really hard, only to be appreciated by very few these days. Big contributer to him closing up shop, cause I doubt he cared about being "pummelled" when they were ripping WCW a new asshole.

Well, I for one will realy miss the Ross Report. It was the first thing I read that really got me into the online wrestling scene, if only to figure what sites he was refering to every week. Hell, even now I can hardly figure out what the hell he's talking about. I swear the man is visiting totally different sites than the rest of us...but that's all besides the point. Oh well, it was usually a good read on my Friday afternoons. Miss ya Jimbo!

Theres from time to time, and then theres ALL the time. And from what I've seen, the Ross Report caused pummeling ALL the time, unless it was giving an update on an injury to someone the internet likes. I enjoyed reading it, I thought it was cool that JR took the time to write it, and I hated how every little thing would be twisted into something negative, so I'm glad to see it go.

Sooo... do you think it's possible that WWE could bring in a writer of slashwrestling.com fame to take Ross's place? To boot, I understand and recall that he writes in a manner similar to Ross AND also just happens to be Good Ol' J.R.'s son, too!

That's right. I'm talkin' about Jim Ross Jr.

Just a thought.

Eh, I never found anything in the Ross Report interesting anyway. Most of it was just blowing smoke up our butts.

Did the BBQ sauce ever come out? He has been shilling that for ages.

From the infamous Wrestleline SS interview:

DTD: If you were to make changes in WCW, if you were in charge and not Ric Flair, what would they be?

SS: I'd get rid of all the old guys, and push the talent that has waited to get the push. The things they are doing, it's back in the 1980s. It's just bad, man. Flair doesn't even deserve to be on the show. You've got to get rid of all the old guys. Like what Vince did, they started pushing guys. Nobody knew who The Rock was 2 years ago. He made The Rock. Now The Rock just did Saturday Night Live. You've got to start with the young talent, talent people can relate to. Who are we trying to relate to if we've got a 50 year old man out there? Are we trying to relate, so a 50 year people and above will go out and buy a f*cking little toy? That ain't gonna happen. It's a f*cking joke.

Does it remind you of any show in particular?

I do seriously hope they have somebody take over that aspect. Having a reliable resource for injury updates, rehab progress, etc. is something that I think is important for any of us who care about the guys who go out there beating themselves silly to attempt to entertain us. (The barbecue sauce, cookbook & Sooners updates, however, are somewhat less interesting to me.)

I present you..The Bob Ross Report..
Some little (sometimes) funny thing I did every now and then for the fantasy federation No Mercy wrestling game site I maintain for my friends and myself.

Some quotes..
Without a shadow of a doubt Haku must be my favorite wrestler. Not only does this man have the moves, he also has the do!

Molly's new look is different from the standard mold. Her Van Dyk brown hair really makes her look special.

Good news on the clam chowder front. I have been talking to a company and they are prepared to bring my chowder on the market. Things are really going fast now. We are talking weeks here folks! Right now I am making designs for the can wrappers.

dMp is so my new hero now.

I just wonder if the Matt Hardy busting Brock Lesnar open with the chair incident would be called a "happy accident" in the Bob Ross report.
