World Wrestling Entertainment® announced today that former Navy Seal and Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura will host WWE: A Raw Thanksgiving live November 23 at 8:00 PM ET / 7:00 PM CT on USA Network from the Giant Center in Hershey, PA.
Ventura is the star of the upcoming Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura, a new series that seeks to uncover the truth behind the most compelling modern day conspiracy theories. The show, premiering December 2 at 10:00 PM ET on truTV, follows Ventura as he travels across the country investigating cases, hearing from both conspiracy believers and skeptics.
Each week celebrities from the world of sports, television, music and film take control of the most-watched regularly scheduled program on ad-supported cable television by arranging matches, dictating stipulations and managing the entire Raw roster of WWE Superstars and Divas for the evening. Ventura joins the prestigious list of past Raw celebrity guest hosts, including NBA All-Star Shaquille O’Neal, Emmy-winning actor Jeremy Piven, television legend Bob Barker, Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell and rock icon Ozzy Osbourne.
Tune in Monday, November 23 to see if the WWE Hall ---------------------------------------------------------
The Body and Vince getting along, even if it is for Ventura's new show? Might this mean that down the road they might not be blocking out Jesse's voiceovers on dvd's? It's just not the same without hearing "It's the old Greco Roman thumb to the eye, Monsoon!"
Sweet! I have tickets to that. Thank God, its him and not Dennis Miller. I have want to see a GOP joke, I would watch Palin on Oprah. Jesse is someone who knows wrestling and should be able to carry a 3 hour show.

Wow, you really stuck it to Dennis Miller AND the GOP with your...typing.
Also, there's another 3 hour RAW in December, which will be the return of the Slammy Awards, and I'm pretty sure THAT'S the one hosted by Dennis Miller.
Shocking! CRZ shows up to defend the GOP even if it was an off-handed comment. Regardless, its a better guest since he is a Hall of Famer and can work the mic. I just didn't want to see Miller and the terrible humor that will come with the Slammys.

CRZ showed up to defend the board from awful grammar. You're starting to repeat yourself, so let me help you out. It's not me defending the GOP; it's me making fun of YOU.

Whenever I see that CRZ deleted something, I like to picture that the original post consisted of the poster losing his mind and typing gibberish while showing images of feces.
you'll have to agree on that by yourself. I listen to him most days for a couple hours and find plenty to laugh at - his wordsmithing amuses me always and when he has the right guests, he can be very very funny.
so, I am looking forward to this Raw. But I'll have to DVR Castle that night.
We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.
That the universe was formed by a fortuitous concourse of atoms, I will no more believe than that the accidental jumbling of the alphabet would fall into a most ingenious treatise of philosophy - Swift
This could be the first guest host that actually draws in a larger audience. I would have figured that they would have saved him until WrestleMania time.

I guess with some guests, they want do the gig when it's most advantageous for what they want to plug.
New book/movie/album/tv show means relevance to that date.

Wow, heavy-handed run-on sentences, with clumsy doses of alliteration are "wordsmithing" now? To be fair, I don't think I've ever even cracked a smile at anything he's ever said. Worst weekend update host ever. But after the Superman's dad's apartment crack re: the Iraq War, I lost all respect for him as a human being.
Y'know, this would also be seen as a "political" pick, but I think Bill Maher is a lot funnier even when I don't agree with him, and he'd be much better suited to the irreverent cynical attitude WWE often still tries to promote from time-to-time, when they aren't being lame and corny.
Will be great to see Jesse back, too. Simply the best color man ever, in my opinion. Yes, even better than Heenan.
From comedians to politicians to musical performers to professional athletes, Monday Night Raw’s weekly guest hosts are some of past and present’s finest entertainers. The WWE Universe, therefore, can expect this trend to continue as more and more of the most popular celebrities are hopping aboard to serve as Raw special host.

Nov. 30, 2009: Verne Troyer Best known for playing Mini-Me in the Austin Powers comedy series, Verne Troyer will serve as guest host on Nov. 30 from Baltimore. One of the shortest yet largely recognizable men in the world, the actor has more than 15 years of television experience.
Dec. 7, 2009: Mark Cuban Instead of humoring the NBA Universe with his infinite antics and making authoritative basketball decisions for one night, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban will spend time delegating responsibility to WWE Superstars when he hosts Raw on Dec. 7 from Dallas.
Dec. 14, 2009: Dennis Miller Comedian and radio talk show host Dennis Miller, meanwhile, will serve as the host of the 2009 Slammy Awards during a special three-hour presentation of Raw on Dec. 14 from Corpus Christi, Texas. Twenty bucks says Troyer comes out in DX gear.
Or he:
#1. Wrestles Hornswoggle.
#2. Tags with Hornswoggle against Chavo.
The best part of waking up is not Folgers in your cup, but knowing that Chuck Norris didn't kill you in your sleep.
My only worry is that since it's being promoted as a "Special Thanksgiving" Raw, that at least an hour of it will be filled with crap like Diva Gravy Bowl matches and food fights :(

That still leaves the usual two hours of cringey comedy skits starfuc_ing the host. Santino wants to be friends with the host in his hilarious Santino way but Chavo isn't happy about the host at all.

Since in the Bible, Jesus doesn't really put anyone but himself over, Shawn's best example doesn't teach him to return the job. Jericho should complain more if he wants some wins. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, after all.
