Rice got his wish and was traded out of Oakland. Destination Seattle for a conditional seventh-round draft pick.

Seattle? Isn't that the last team that needs receivers. Their receiving core might very well be the best in the league. If Rice didn't like of game time in Oakland, I can't see Seattle giving him much more of a focus. This seems really short term until Robinson and Engram return from suspension and injury.

smark/net attack wienerville advisory holds at ORANGE alert - High (JBL is STILL WWE champion and now smarks arch enemy HHH is the World Champion. Major red threat, but the undercard seems okay. The alert holds... for now)- 9/19

Koren Robinson couldn't catch flies if he had glue traps on his hands. Rice is a good possession receiver. I think he'll get a few balls.

London when dives over the turnbuckle face first into the Spanish Announcers table. After the countout, London comes back into the ring and lays Booker T down on the ground while bending Booker's arms and legs and then spins him around. You wanted the best, you got... Out of Context Quote of the Week.

Plus, I think they're thinking that when Robinson's un-suspended, he can move into more of a player/coach/"stop dropping passes, morons" position. So they gave up nothing and got some possible help. Good luck making him realize he's got nothing much left, though.

Well, the last two Seahawks games showed me that they don't have anyone who can hold on to a pass right now anyway, so maybe a season with Rice will help them a little bit...

Personally, I am just glad he didn't end up in Detroit. The man was great, but he really needs to hang it up...

And since actually catching the ball is a key component to receiving, I can't believe anyone could call Seattle's receivers the best by any stretch of the imagination right now.

Aside from the fact that I think he'll contribute, I'm glad the trade took some of the focus off the losing streak. Most of the Hawk Talk this week was about Rice and not making them and their fans feel bad about the streak. Hopefully, this will be a rejuvenation thing that will help them get on track agaisnt a very tough Cardinals team this afternoon.

edit: It didn't help. Congrats Cards fans.

The reason everyone thought that the Bucs and Pack wouldn't play again for a couple of years is that no one was sure if the Bucs were going to win the division six weeks ago. But since we did win and so did GB we will play them again next year.
