Anyone else getting a Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels vibe to the relationship between Helmsley and Jericho? Whenever they mention one another in interviews, you can't help but get the feeling they really don't like one another. It should be interesting to see where this relationship goes in the future...
Come to think of it, the window dressings are rather familiar as well: Once again we have a Candian and a Clique member getting frustrated with each other, they had a match in which the outcome was known by just about everyone at a wrestlemania, AND it's the Canadian that can't seem to get a win over the Clique member.
Now, we just need some "Stephanie days" comments, a scuffle in the locker room, and someone to lose an emotion, and we'll really be cooking!
Seriously though, the professional relationship betweeen these two is probably going to get alot uglier before it's over....
At the very least, there seems to be great potential for a problem here. And Triple H is in a great position should Vince have to choose between Triple H or Jericho for anything.
This is it for Jericho. If he cashes in on this chance, it may serve his best chance at breaking down the walls. Even if he loses. If he wins or loses badly, then he'l probably never get his shot again.
It's put up or shut up time for Jericho. That's why I'm goign to Famous Players to see the PPV.
I'm Catholic plus I'm a redneck. I ain't afraid to admit it, and I ain't going to hide it.
I for one, really really really REALLY hope Jericho wins and they do a double turn...even though I love Jericho's heel work I hate HHH's babyface stuff worse...but thats just me.
By the Way, we all know Jericho is gonna lose anyway.
I said before in an earlier thread that while I like both guys I don't think they have good matches together. HHH was said to have been complaining about Jericho's workrate days after he came to the WWF. There have been many more reports of heat between these two but I won't name them all cause rumors are just that. However I think that the best example that they don't click (or clique) is that Jericho didn't get his belt until they were running short on ideas during HHH's absence.
It seemed that the only point of the inevitable Jericho – Steph union was to make Steph so irritating that even her pervert following on the net wanted her to go away. I am sure she felt otherwise there would have been an outcry at her not being on T.V. Jericho was made to look like a punk just when I was loving the glimpse of his old WCW heel days. I keep hoping he will show up with some old rulebook that since he was the first Undisputed Champion then he gets the belt back because of this WWF/WWE thing. In short, Jericho’s title reign was used to push HHH and Steph.
Now I have to remind you that I like HHH. Yes, he has the stroke backstage and I think he deserves it just as I felt Austin and the Rock did at different points. The problem with writing blank checks with no expiration date to guys that carried you during lean times is that you get burnt by things like Austin walking out, NWO bullshit, and Rocky and Hogan stinking up the ring in between movies.
With that rant out of the way I will get back to my problem with this match. This is Hell in the Cell folks, a trump card that should never be brought out unless the feud is white hot and the participants have proven they can work together and someone is going to put the other guy over big time. I just don’t see it happening. There is no way they will risk HHH getting hurt again. So the only way this match will be any good is if Jericho gets the shit kicked out of him and what good does that do?
Let me tell you what I'm gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on me. I'm gonna beat you down like the bitch that you are.
We all know who'll end up getting his shoulders pinned to the mat after this match. I'd love to see Jericho win, but I don't think Triple H will ever put him over in such an important contest.
If I'm wrong, I'll be the first to celebrate.

As I said before, in another post, I don't seen any way in hell Triple Initials puts Jericho over here. If I had a gun to my head, had to bet 50 bucks on A) Triple H puts Jericho over or B) Hogan and Taker have a 3+ star match. I'd put it on Hogan and Taker. Seriously.
And I think you're fat. So how do you like me now?
Bob, I'm not sure I'd bet on either of those. But you're right, I'd go with choice B, given the option. I sure as hell hope I'm wrong, though. God knows Jericho needs to be put over after the embarassment at WrestleMania.
According to the storyline of the match, HHH's quadricep was being held together by a string-- and that was before Y2J put HHH in the Walls of Jericho on the SmackDown before WrestleMania.
At WrestleMania, Jericho beat the living shit out of Triple H's leg-- including utilizing a ringpost figure-four. Yet Triple H pretty much no-sells the injury, defeats Jericho anyway, and the next night, walks around like everything's fine. Triple H is so full of crap. And if anyone on the board wants to see tangible proof of how much of a politician Triple H is, they need to review what happened in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania, and the night after.

Oh you gotta love political power games. Unless you, I don't know, TUNE IN FOR WRESTLING. Gotta love Triple Ruxpin unles you I don't know, REALIZE HE HAS SUCKED SINCE HE CAME BACK AND EVEN BEFORE HE LEFT HE WAS MOSTLY OVER BECAUSE OF HIS PUSH. Jesus I hope Jericho gets a happier ending than Bret. And I hope HHH gets the same ending as Shawn.
Well I'm not one to throw out glass ceiling or individuals having the power to hold others back. But it seems to be painfully obvious that whenever a "young" talent goes up against Triple H their career seems to go the way of a Princess Diana limo ride and hit a wall.
Let's start with Angle/Steph/H love triangle was one of the best stuff ever. Until Stephanie gave the Big F-U to the geeky Angle and stayed with the big over Triple H. Umm I wonder who needed her more.
Now the break up angle. How did they pull this off. A break up without the need or want of having a third party in it (and no Linda McMahon doesn't count). So H looked like a big man breaking off with Steph, and Stephanie was the heel who worked on her own (ummm a Triple H v. Stephanie match makes great sense). Of course the idea of bringing a third person in and having Stephanie cheat with him while Trips was out rehabbing wasn't used, because god forbid that another person tries to sneak into the Trips/Steph spotlight (look how it got Angle over a year or so back, we can't have that). And it might diminish H3 masculinity, even though he wouldn't look that bad because he was away on rehab, and it would give him at least some babyface sympathy.
Should i even talk about the abortion that was the WrestleMania main event, how the entire World Title match was set up to have Triple H attack Stephanie (what did I say about these 2 and spotlight). Congrads to those 2 their story was the main event at WrestleMania, too bad no one gave a rats ass in the stadium.
Oh yeah I forgot about his first match back winning the Royal Rumble to get a free ticket to WrestleMania title match without the need to show us if he healed well enough to be part of such an important match. The WrestleMania match was horrible, and probably both men are to blame, but I've seen Jericho have a great Smackdown match with Edge and the Y2J match with Hogan was easily more entertaining then the sleepfest with H/Hogan at the PPV.
But saying all that I would never e-e-ver say someone has the power or pull to put himself over others and pull others back *looks up and reads what I wrote* Wow even though there really seem to be a lot of coincidents for people to think that.
I've never liked Triple H, the guy just rubs me the wrong way from the very start. I felt he could play a one dimensional character pretty well and that's about it, but I always gave him credit for being one of the best big in-ring wrestlers I've seen. But since his return I can't even say that anymore. But he's buh-gawd bigger and more ripped then ever (if that's your thing)

thanx to His heelness for the modification to make it PG
since HHH has about the same speed, why dont they book him as the undertaker role in HitC. jericho could be HBK, the small heel who gets his ass whipped, but somehow manages to pull off a win.
