I don't know. I'd be pleased with either man at Wrestlemania. Rock doesn't get any credit on the net for being the best performer in wrestling, today. Jericho would be a good choice for the main event at Wrestlemania, because its in Canada, but I don't think too many people would bitch for Ausin vs. Rock III.

The storyline can be Rock finally winning at Wrestlemania by defeating the man that has always beaten him. A lot of Boston Red Sox and Buffalo Bill cliches can be attributed to him on the way to WM. Top it all off if they throw HHH in the mix and Rock can go out as the Champ to prove his critics wrong and finally win the big one. I think Canada fans would be happy with Jericho's stable kicking the crap out of the NWO stable. That would be sweet!

A Fan- Hoping the rumor finished in the Rumble is just a rumor.

Vehemently Agree!!!

Jericho is really starting to hit his stride as the cocky, underhanded heel champ. Plus, there are a few others he can have mini-programs with--RVD, Austin, HHH, Edge to name four--before he drops the strap.

I seriously doubt he'll be in the main at WrestleMania, but his run still has legs. Also, if he escapes a few more mini-feuds with the belts, it gives him more credibility and gives him easier access back to the Main Event picture when his time comes again.

The only question I seriously have is this: if Chris Jericho WERE in the main event at Wrestlemania and was supposed to be the killer heel, would the Canadian fans boo him? (I'm not even sure if that matters, just a thought)

As for my hopeful Wrestlemania main event: Undertaker vs. The Rock. Why? Hell I don't know, it just intrests me more than most of the possibilites, feel like I've seen them all too much.

And I think you're fat. So how do you like me now?

Nash vs. Undertaker for the title? If anyone here is a big stiff, now you too can become WWF Champion!

I wouldn't be surprised if a title reign is in Nash's future, though. Vince loves his big men, although he's constantly failed to really push the best one he's got... Kane.

Nah. Screw Austin/Rock III, I don't want to see it again. And keep in mind that they've faced each other way more than just three times. They've done battle on RAWs, a Backlash, probably a Summer Slam, and Survivor Series, and a whole shitload of other times.

For this WrestleMania, I want to see something new and different. Or at least see one guy... at least one guy who has never main-evented at a WrestleMania before.

Jericho and Angle? Benoit and Jericho? Benoit, Angle and Jericho? Or how about Booker T? Or Rob Van Dam?

...yeah, right. I could be retracting these words after Sunday, but I sincerely doubt that the WM main event will feature anyone but Austin, Rock or Triple H in some combination.

Then again, it's still a little early to predict the WM main-event when we don't even know for a fact who the Royal Rumble winner is going to be. And since we don't know who's going to main-event at No Way Out, it becomes even more difficult.

When I knew that Angle/Rock would be the main-event of No Way Out last year, I knew right then and there what the WrestleMania main event would be, without even having to reach for it. We'll see if the same thing is true again this year, or if (by the grace of God) the WWF does something different for a change.

Every Austin vs Rock one-on-one match I can remember:
at Degeneration-X in Dec 1997 for the IC title
on RAW the night after Survivor Series for the WWF Title
At Wrestlemaina 15 for the WWF Title
At Backlash 1999 for the WWF Title
At Wrestlemaina 17 for the WWF Title
On RAW the night after WM 17 in a cage match for the WWF Title

Austin won every single one of these matches, as well as one or two I feel like I'm forgetting during their IC Title feud.

I think Jericho WILL win on Sunday, thus teasing him in the main event until No Way Out, when he'll drop the title. If anything, his promo on Thursday night deserves him a longer title run on it's own, it was THAT good.

Someone brought it up earlier, but I think the WWF has a problem keeping Jericho on top as a heel for Wrestlemania.

If they are going to pursue the evil, heel Canadians, there will be a problem at Wrestlemania, 'cause the folks here will cheer these guys....

For this weekend, Jericho holds onto the title. With Rock shooting the movie, the chances he misses more shows is high(see RAW last week).

Does he lose it at the next PPV? Who knows. I hold off judgement to see what happens this weekend with the whole NWO, Hall, Nash, and Hogan thing.

Well, whoever is going into Wrestlemania with the belt I hope he gets it SOON. I hate when a champ is going into Wrestlemania holding the belt for a month, like last year. I think it adds much more to the match if the champion has been on top for a while and appears to have a very firm grasp on the title. Otherwise it's just a guy who has had the belt for about 30 days vs. another guy. HHH having the belt for a few months in 2000 before Wrestlemania helped, but a singles match between him and Rock would have been SOOOO much better (what the hell was the point of Show and Foley anyways?).

As for this year I love Jericho as the champ, but I don't hink he's strong enough for the Mania main event yet. So my pick would be Austin going in the with belt and losing it to HHH. We shall see.

I say the WWF take advantage of the fact that Jericho would likely be a conquering hero at WM, by doing what I think is the upcoming very soon HHH move to the darkside. Have HHH/Jericho at WM, with the McMahons all aligned with HHH against Jericho, who while being something of a tweener in the US, could be a mega-face up in Canada at WM. At WM you bust out HHH's buds Hall and Nash to help him take the belt away.

There, I feel better now.

Come on, guys. Hotshotting the World title isn't the answer. It is not a bad thing to have Jericho hold it for more than 30 days or even 60. Let him keep it until WM.

Bucs fan, you left out the Rock/Austin match on the RAW before Wrestlemania 14. Austin won that cleanly I might add.

Jericho really is one of the only top-flight heels in the company right now. I don't think that he is going to keep the title Sunday, bu if he does, I hope he keeps up his vain, posing heelish ways. I loved it when he stared down the "Jericho is a Jobber" guy, and then kissed the belt.
