Anybody else see Chris Jericho on the Craig Kilborn show last night? I thought overall he was fine, but the segment wouldn't have made me want to run right out & check out a wrestling show if I didn't already watch. The one "interesting" thing ... Kilborn asked if he liked doing wrestling or Fozzy better. His answer was along the lines of: "Well, I love wrestling, but I've been doing that for 13 years & have accomplished just about everything. Being with Fozzy is a whole different set of challenges." (That's my paraphrase since I didn't tape it, but I think its pretty representative.) Hmmm.

I think Jericho has finally come to terms with all the political BS in wrestling. Like he can only do so much and if they use him right, great, if not then it's their loss. He just seems at peace with his life and how wrestling fits into.

I like how Jericho said his album has sold just about as many copies as Shaq's rap album. He still seems like a normal down to earth guy.

Also he has literally done it all. He`s won basically every belt, he main-evented Wrestlemania, had incredible matches. What is left that he hasn`t done in the business?

I love Kilborn (watch him every night) but the wife and I fell asleep before Jericho came on. My question was Why Jericho? Does Kilborn occasionally have wrestlers on for no reason?

I haven't watched Kilborn since his tasteless Owen Hart joke after the accident...it went something like "Pro wrestler the Blue Blazer died in an accident last night...no word on the condition of his tag team partner the White Turtleneck"

I know he doesn't write the jokes, and it's not like I have a grudge, he just left a sour taste in my mouth that night and I haven't really felt the need to check him out since

Ugh, that's just fucking tasteless. A man died, whether he wrote the joke or not that's just uncalled for. Makes me more proud to be a Conan fan.:) He's funnier anyway and I don't think he'd joke about a death.

I still like Kilborn's unabashed Hollywood ham persona. It just cracks me up the way he acts so into himself. What scares me about him is that he is probably mostly just like that in real life.

Nothing will ever top the Big Show on Conan a few months ago. They really need to bring back the big goofy Show persona.

Well Mr. Burns had done it.
The power plant had won it.
With Rogers Clemens clucking all the while.
Mike Scioscia's tragic illness made us smile.
While Wade Boggs lay unconscious on
the barroom tile.
We're talkin'...
Softball.
From Maine to San Diego.
Talkin'...
Softball.
Mattingly and Canseco.
Ken Griffey's grotesquely swollen jaw.
Steve Sax and his run-in with the law.
We're talkin' Homer...
Ozzie and the Straw.

4/25/2002 Y2J beat HHH in the Smackdown Main Event. It was just a "who gets to job to Hogan next week" #1 contenders match, but it was mighty cool, with Y2J reversing pedigree attempts into the Walls and into a backslide.

I'd say I agree with that. Which is a shame, since I think he has the potential to be bigger than he currently is. But he would have to be more engaged than he currently seems to be. I think that really is the answer to the recurring questions of "Why doesn't Jericho get more push?"

(I always shake my head sadly that he still has the rant at the IWC from June, 2002 on the front page of his site (chrisjericho.com).)

But, hey -- whatever he's happy with.

Which was almost immediately negated about three weeks later when Triple H beat Jericho in an inexcusable squash job at Judgment Day in a HITC match.

Until Triple H puts Jericho over cleanly on a PPV in a high-stakes match, he remains on the SL.

Hey, I never claimed it was a meaningful win, I was just saying that you can't put "Beat HHH" on a list of things Y2J has yet to do.

And, meaningful or not, it was a mighty cool match. I think that and the 2002 Rumble were the only HHH matches I really liked in 2002. Oh, shit, I almost forgot his match with HBK at Summerslam. Make that three 2002 HHH matches I really liked.

I'm glad he keeps that up there, cause he's so damn right. I'm glad at least SOMEBODY backs up the "just try to enjoy it, dammit" argument but me.
