I'm usually not one for this kind of thing, but it's been bugging me since last night and I'm just wondering if there are any lipreaders around with tapes of last night's RAW and time on their hands...
Michaels and Jericho were kibitzing off-mic more than usual and, right after Jericho slapped Michaels I'd swear on a stack of Bibles that Michaels said, "You blew your shot."
There seemed to be some other interesting things being said after that, but I could only grab snippets and words here and there.
I don't want to make this out as some kind of conspiracy thing, I'm more just curious as to what the two were saying to eachother if anyone knows.
Originally posted by DJ FrostyFreezeTo me, it looked like Jericho kept saying "What are you snmiling at? What are you laughing at?", and the only thing I could make out from HBK was "Nice shot" after he got slapped.
The old school Jericho footage was a nice touch too, but I think it woulda worked better if they had used WCW footage.
I thought he said "Nice Shot" as well.
I just think it's incredible that they found such similar footage for both guys as it was - I never watched WCW much, did Jericho still do those HBK-style moves then?
I donít go to sleep at night, I job to my blankets.
I thought the promo was nice and in contrast to most in-ring bellowing. Good to see Jericho begin to work on developing a more serious dimension to his character. If anything, I thought that after the "I wanted to be Shawn Michaels" line from Jericho, Michaels could have said something like, "You're just one of millions who wanted to be like me." I guess that would have been too heelish, though.
You know what I'd love to have seen in Jericho's promo? A reference to how even though HBK always has a great performance at WrestleMania, he usually lost (3-6 career record). If he'd wanted to be funny, he could've shown footage of Shawn back in the Rocker days losing to the Twin Towers and the Orient Express at WM.

This was a match I wanted to see when I first saw Jericho back in 1995. I knew that if these 2 locked up, it would be pure gold! Even though it took almost 10 years, all of us get to see a match up some of us have dreamed of! I can't wait!! The atmosphere will be unlike anything I am sure. My first PPV!!!!!

Yes, that was a recap that really encompasses the hillarity of the moment. I mean, I love Cubs' recaps and everything, but I think what Shapiro was looking for was the actual words exchanged, not the gist of the interview.ZOOM
