I've always loved dramas set in post-apocalyptic society ever since I saw Heston in The Omega Man. So, when I saw that Showtime was doing a new series with Luke Perry and Malcolm Jamal Warner, I was interested (just not enough to order Showtime, as I already have HBO).
So, when the first season came out on DVD, I ordered it from Netflix (which is a completely kick ass service might I add) and I was pleasantly surprised.
The episodic storylines are fairly interesting, but the overall concept and long term storylines are very good. The production values are so-so, but the supporting cast is pretty good. It's one of those shows where you keep thinking that if they just got their overall act together, it could really be great.
The thing I really like about it is the chemistry between Perry and Warner. They just click together and it's this relationship that really makes the show enjoyable.
I just finished watching the entire first season and I was wondering if anyone has seen the second season. I believe it started sometime in fall 2003. How was it?

Chase is all kinds of badass; I approve thoroughly. They certainly allayed the fears I had coming into the season. In the beginning, they seemed to be setting Wayne up to turn Palmer to the dark side, but, now, it seems the other way around.
