Your Official Sunday, April 13, 2003 Randomly Selected Wiener Of The Day Champion says....
On the NWATNA.com website Mike Tenay answers the question about the rumors of Jeff Hardy going to TNA:
"Dozens of you have e-mailed me this week asking about Jeff Hardy. According to WWE, they severed their relationship with him this past Tuesday. I believe he may have a non-compete clause in his contract that could prevent him from appearing for other national promotions."
So I guess, that anwsers the Hardy/NWA rumors for the time being.

"I believe he may have a non-compete clause in his contract..."
Not exactly definate proof there. Could be a cover so it's a surprise when he shows up, or it could just be that they've tried contacting him and either can't get in touch or he's not interested in coming in and this is his way of covering. It sounds better to say, "He has a non-compete clause and can't come work for us" than "We contacted him and he doesn't want to work for TNA".
I still don't think Jeff would be interested for a while. Yeah, guys like Tenay, Borash, and even Jerry Lynn have gone on record saying they would love to see Jeff Hardy in TNA, but I don't think it'll happen anytime soon.
Come on, people. Let the man have his time off. If he wants to come back later on, he's more than welcome to. But let's allow him to get his shit together.
You know it won't be long now. May God help us all!
Considering Mania is in the package, they must really be starting to question whether anyone would buy a brand exclusive PPV between Rumble and Mania, especially when considering that generally has been considered one of the 2 throw away PPV's of the year...
