I'd mark out for a new Flock. It wouldn't ever happen and please please please don't anyone fantasy book the angle- but I'd mark for it.
Matt Hardy has the working skills he needs to be an over singles competitor, he just needs to learn to speak without sounding like the second coming of Gomer Pyle, USMC.
Losing the Hardy moniker wouldn't hurt either.

With props to spf2119, who came up with the idea:
The "psycho stable" angle would be the Hardyz' salvation. Violent juvenile delinquents who don't care about matches, or titles, or genders, or ANYthing. They smoke cigarettes in the backstage bathrooms, come on to men and women alike, beat people up for the fun of it, and make one of those hallway cul-de-sacs their headquarters, just like the goth stoners who hang out behind your local 7-11.
And don't even TRY to insinuate that a no-talent like Raven could, or should, get a rub off this. Sometimes I think the only reason Paul E. gave Raven a job was because he knew strippers.

I never watched ECW, and Raven's matches with the WWF never set the world on fire for me (except that one sweet hardcore title match with Rhyno!) and they've never given him a chance on the mike. Until this past week, that is. This man is gold on the mike! He makes the RAW half of excess *almost* worth watching, and he only gets to talk for a few seconds between crap I've already seen. He makes Heat, where he gets to talk through about half the show, actually entertaining. I want him to mention that he's a "card-carying MENSA member" in *every* sentence! But if you've hated him for years, I presume your opinion hasn't changed. Ah, well, tastes vary.

Thanks for the info, sergeial. I don't normally watch Heat, but if Raven's that good I'll try to catch it.
In making my negative comment, I was referring to his work in the ring. The twisted feud with Dreamer was interesting because of the satellites (Stevie, Beulah, Francine, Pit Bulls... on and on) spinning around the two. But Raven himself is just not my cup of wrestling tea.

| #46 Posted on 8.4.02 1841.06 | Jeff and Matt haven't JUST become stale... they have actually toned down their act. Jeff used to put his body at serious risk every week. Now, all we see is the swanton.
When the Hardyz were high-flying in every match, the internet community panned them, saying that doing that style will end your career earlier than Foley's, if not cripple or kill you. But people marked out like crazy for the Hardyz back then.
There is nothing Extreme about Team Extreme any more. Jeff just isn't a great wrestler- he just has no concern for his body (much like Foley). Now he's toned it down. He did what we wanted him to do and now we're bashing him again. No one will ever be happy with Jeff, 'cause he's not a great wrestler, and he's horrible on the mic. Little girls still sream for him, though.
I like the idea of hooking them up with Raven. He ALWAYS delivers on promos. He's got a similar look. It fits.
The only question is: is it worth keeping Jeff around? Matt has potential and Lita is hot (I know everyone doesn't agree here, but _I_ think she's hot). If yo uwant to keep the little girls interested, keep him.
Bottom Line: Raven could be the mouthpiece Team Extreme needs. If they don't put them together, that's fine. As long as they keep Raven announcing, I'll be happy.
