I got a question, what does the women's title accomplish? Women's wrestling sucks, the matches on ppv always suck and are short. So while Jazz and Trish are getting a match on the ppv this sunday, REAL wrestlers who can wrestle great like Jericho and Lance Storm are left off the card. Why would I want to buy a ppv that doesn't have 2 of my favorite wrestlers on it and have some stupid Women's title match on there instead? 2 more crappy wrestlers, Bradshaw and Scott Hall get a match, yet Jericho and Lance Storm are no where on the card. Oh and better yet, the best tag team title match they can come up with is Billy and Chuck vs. Al Snow and Maven? FRICKIN' MAVEN is on the card, in a title match. This just makes me sick. Booker T and the Hurricane don't look to be on the card either.

If this message was posted just a few months ago, I would have been right there with you, but right now, I can't help but disagree.
The women's division over the last few months has been full of very good matches and fairly hotly contested feuds. If the WWF wants to promote division, then they should have a match on the show. I don't mind.
Jazz is a fairly good and stiff worker, Trish is pretty good and seemingly improving with every match, and I think their match Sunday will be very good. And not just for a 'women's match'.
Dude as someone said in another thread, if you don't like it, don't watch it. The women's division is, in my opinion, getting a much deserved and long awaited *sustained* push by the WWF right now.

I gotta agree here, its good to see the women get a chance to wrestle. Face it, the women will never get better without time in the ring. And if you are mad because Jericho and Storm arent on the card, then thats cool, I can understand your frustration, but dont blame the women.
You know youre old when you try to convince some kid that was born in the freakin 80's that Samus Aran could whip Lara Croft's cave dwelling ass. Honestly, has there ever been a cooler weapon in the history of video games than the Screw Attack?
I dunno, I see where Vile One's coming from. Although the women's division is better than it has been in the past, it still sucks. Plus, we've seen this match quite a few times in the past few months. The argument of if you don't like ir, don't watch it, isn't really valid because no one's going to not buy a PPV simply because there's one women's match on it. Personally, I'd much rather see a hardcore match on the card or something. Hell, I'd much rather see a bra and panties or some sort of "chicks wrestle around in or strip down to little to nothing" match because I'm sick of watching Jazz wrestle. I don't think she's even that good, she's certainly not very attractive, and her finishing move sucks. It's a fucking fisherman's suplex into a regular suplex. WTF is that?

Good point. Just because it sucks marginally less than it did a few months ago is no reason to dole out the praise yet. I think the wrong message is sent when this happens. It tells the WWF, "You don't have to give us what we want. We'll accept anything as long as it's a bit better than what our short memory spans allow us to recall". Frankly the Hardcore division should be scrapped too.
Cut Jazz some slack though. With a Fisherman Buster, the choice is to make it look great (and drop the victim headfirst with minimal protection), or Offer maximum protection (and make the move look less dramatic). Jazz is making the right choice, as I doubt Trish can take thst much damage to the noggin, no matter the tiny amount of brains that noggin holds. Her best bet would be to change the finisher altogether. I'd suggest a JOE-jigatame (Made killer by Samoa Joe aka "The MAN in about 5-8 years). It's a variation of the jujigatame (Crippler Crossface) with the victim lying face up instead of face down. Less dangerous, but looks like it's tearing that shoulder 40 ways from Sunday.

Call me crazy but if I was able to receive pay per views on my TV I would. I very much would like to see the end of this feud that I have been watching and offering comments on for months. Plus I guess I'm an official Trish mark at this point. As it stands I may just try and catch it live in a local bar (although I don't want to miss one of the last episodes of the X-Files).

DMC: OK, so you want to see it. That's fine, but what does that have to do with someone boycotting a PPV because of some stupid little woman's match? If you like it for whatever reason, that's fine. I can sit through a match where Trish just kicks some ass and enjoy it, but once Jazz comes in their playing the "megaheel" chick, I get quite bored. All I have to say is, if Trish just wins this match and Jazz stays away from the Women's title for a while, then that'll be fine with me.
Avenger: I agree, dumping the finisher is the best move they can make. How about they change it to Trish reversing it and giving her Stratusfaction? Ok, seriously though, I don't want to see Jazz doing a submission move either. Why? I don't know. Just have her do some kinda nifty little move that somewhat impressive and she might not be so bad by me. That's why the Stratusfaction, the Molly-go-Round, and Lita's moonsault(say what you will about its sloppiness) are so impressive. They're kinda unexpected. You don't really expect these chicks to pull these thinsg off, but they do. I don't see what so impressive about Jazz's finisher.
OK, that's enough bitching for me. I'm not usually much of a complainer, but there's something about the women's divison(especially Jazz) that brings it out in me.

If you are going to have a women's division, you have to put matches on PPV, at least every once in a while. If you don't, then the division really is pointless. I frankly think that matches involving Trish Stratus lately have been above-average, and the Trish/Jazz match will not be a waste of PPV space.
I think the problem (with Jericho and Storm) once again is there is just not enough slots for everybody. The split has taken care of that on the weekly shows for the most part, but if you turn around and stick everyone on the same PPV, then you run into time issues again. I personally would prefer that the two brands split the PPV's (except Wrestlemania), with each brand having working toward a PPV every other month. However, I don't think that will happen, as the WWF would further run the risk of actually splitting the fanbase into two sections, each following just one of the brands (at least, that's what I think they fear would happen).
ges7184. Fine put the matches on ppv. But why does it have to be the same damn match every time? Is there ever a women's title match other than Jazz vs. Trish?
And again why put some stupid 4 minute women's title match on the card instead of Jericho or Lance Storm? I'm not going to shell out money for a ppv if 2 of my favorites aren't on it. Its like 35 dollars for a ppv, and it should be nothing short of excellent.

One reason is that right now the women's matches are actually drawing some heat beyond the puppies chants, which is always a rare commodity in any mid-card match these days. I'm digging the women, and looking forward to watching this division progress.

Well, they're trying to push *Molly*. However, they couldn't have Molly going for the title on a PPV against another heel, so it makes sense to send in Trish (probably the most over female babyface) to get the title, and immediately throw her into a feud with Molly.
And Jericho's just an odd-man out this time around. There's really no babyfaces available given how they set up the card. The only thing I can even think of would be for him to take Albert's spot and have a quick feud with Rikishi, but he'd be curtain-jerking at best. HHH and Hogan are working together, Edge is with Angle, Rock and Benoit are both missing for this PPV... no one else worthy of Jericho's calibre is available.
And Storm is still stuck at the bottom of the card.
Jazz is more of a brawler than a wrestler. Molly is a wrestler. Trish is learning how to wrestle farily well. everyone else hates Lita but me. Don't you dare forget Ivory. Jackie is about the same as Jazz. At least they are pushing the women about as equally as CW's. last nights CW match btw was the best post split match yet.

Absolutely. The japanese term for the crippler crossface is "Nagata Lock". After Yuji Nagata. The jujigatame is also known as CODE RED! Hooray for WCW.
