Has anyone else seen this movie? It is so damn funny. Those guys are always gold. I would have to put that up there in the funniest movies of all time category.

It was OK, but I wouldn't go that far. Chasing Amy and Clerks were MUCH funnier. And what's with only having Smith, Mewes and Mosier on the DVD commentary track? They couldn't get Affleck or Jason Lee?

The first thing I said after I saw the movie was "I can't wait to get the DVD and listen to the commentary." And now I have it and, while the commentary is cool, it's just not the same with only Smith, Mewes and Mosier. At least it's packed with plenty of crap to make up for it.

"Will you SHUT UP? I haven't written a word in a year -nothing I haven't thrown out in years! Do you know what that's like? When it's just you and a blank sheet of paper? When you can't think of a SINGLE thing worth saying, a single character that people could believe in, a single story that hasn't been told a thousand times before!" -- Richard Modoc, "Calliope," Sandman 17, Neil Gaiman.

That movie was totally hilarious. Especially when Jay and Silent Bob were struggling to lean on the convience store where the gang stopped. That was GOLD.

Gotta love a DVD where the deleted scenes are longer than the actual movie.

As funny as it was, I still like Dogma and Chasing Amy better.

This is indeed a great movie. IMO, I thought it was his funniest movie yet, with the only possible exception being Clerks. The commentary was kina weak, but that's alright. Mewes seemed totally out of it during the whole thing and I thought it was pretty funny how he got up during the middle of it and took a bathroom break.

Anyway, has anyone found any Easter Eggs in it yet?

I looked superficially, but not found anything.

I'm sure the J&SB picture by Jim Mafhood on Disc Two will end up being one.

Uhh....if you go to the Cast Bios section on Disc 2, and head to Jason Mewes' bio....press up and then enter. It's...well, it's pretty funny and scary all at once.

I think J&SBSB is the funniest Jersey flick, but Chasing Amy is still the best.

I agree that the commentary track wasn't all that great, a fact that they mentioned during the taping since the movie moves so fast it was hard to get all the stories in. Maybe they should have done a second one as well?

Great disc tho. Well worth the $17 I got it for at Circuit City.

It's pretty "ballsy" for an easter egg.

Arg! No more puns, plz!
Back to the subject, I'll have to back up Odessa and say that it's still entertaining, but far FAR away from Chasing Amy.

To be honest, I thought Mallrats was the funniest of the films until Jay and Silent Bob. Jay and Bob was hysterical and the DVD rules. Jesus, it has two really good music videos and another movie worth of deleted scenes. I like Dogma and Chasing Amy, but they really didn't find them as fun as the other ones. Of course, it maybe because they have something to say in these ones. I just found both kinda boring, but the deleted scenes should have stayed. I don't care if it was three hours, it would be well worth it for Linda Fortina's scene where she talks about her abortion. That was great, that should have stayed in and the whole her being a relative Jesus should have been left out.

A Fan- Still missing my 2 DVD set of Dogma.

They couldn't have taken out the part about her being the last Psion. the whole premise was that by being of Christ's blood then even the renegade angels would fear her coming after them. Her abortion played into her losing her faith which added irony since she was the last remaining relative of Christ. The entire movie was a commentary on religions and how they affect the world. Dogma was great. truthis I like everything put out by View Askew.

Jay and Silent Bob gotta be the funniest of them all, followed by Clerks, Dogma, Mallrats, and Chasing Amy.

I must be the only one, but even though I'm a serious Kevin Smith fan, I really really REALLY hate Dogma.

Kevin Smith can do a lot of things, but a message film ain't one of 'em.

I really like Dogma and Chasing Amy, the two more serious films of the View Askewverse than the just silly ones.

My rank:

Chasing Amy
Dogma
Jay and Silent Bob
Clerks: TAS
Mallrats
Clerls

Another idea... go to your closest Office Depot. If you see a system that looks nice, on clearance, ask for the manager. Ask them how much they can knock the price down...
