I'm trying to build up a collection of good import games for my PS2, and that includes some decent PSone games I've missed, like Tobal 2...the original rocked, and I'm anxious to get number 2...
How can I get foreign PSone games to work on my American PS2?
Anyone?

I don't believe that there's a way to do it without a modchip, and even then you might also need a Gameshark/Action Replay depending on the make of your chip.
You might be better off buying a PS1 and using a backup method on it (chip, plug-in gizmo, or someone might've (finally) developed a boot-disc without my knowing). It's easier than modding a PS2, and lower risk (since PSOnes are pretty cheap).
You DO NOT WANT to miss out on Tobal 2.
Alternative #2: the ePSXe emulator plays Tobal 2 nicely on a PC, and you can either buy a PSX-design-knockoff joypad or use an adaptor to hook up a real PSX controller.

Absolutely incredible game. The pros (new season mode, new controls, amazing graphics, etc.) far outweigh the cons (odd legends, some roster exclusions, Hillbilly Jim's head). Seriously, what is with that thing?
