Now that he's retired, I wonder if he becomes a WWE HOF inductee? I know Vince and JR were both very high on him as a ring psychologist and thought he was a brilliant mind for the industry. And he was one of the most popular stars of the 80's.
Having said that, could you imagine the trainwreck potential of having Jake Roberts show up at a televised HOF show that would more than likely have an open bar backstage? Yikes!
And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, "O Lord, bless this Thy hand grenade that with it Thou mayest blow Thine enemies to tiny bits, in Thy mercy."
Come on and get him in this year. In Hot Lanta. I'll be there. Unless I want to go to Canada next year (nope) and sit through the post-morte tribute (nope and nope). But a Goldberg and Jake Double Billing? !?! - I'm for it
As far as Jake getting beered up and showing his ass, no chance. The last one to tell drunk stories was Orlando Flair, as all now is heavily edited. Flair's speech live (and Mae Young's too) was amazing; the WWE HOF since then seems timed. Even Austin didn't get a fair shake with Vince headlining
Atlanta should be Arn and who is left of the Horsemen, Some Dead Guy, Goldberg, Jake and hopefully Ultimate Warior. He's a hoot
If I were producing, I'd get Jake tanked up and have him go on last. He can settle all the scores in his head and then whip open his drawers and pull out a snake!
Jake would then proceed to wave the snake in Steph's face and also up the snout of a newly elected US Senator. Hunter tries to punch him. Jake, drunk, over-sells and falls into the arms of Security. I'm not sure who grabbed the snake - I don't Fantasy Book
FLEA
Demonstrations are a drag. Besides, we're much too high
Due to not believing IN THE LAKERS, Frosty is walking around with $20 of my money!
Jake is a embarrassment to the business, and I hope he never gets in. I'm all for people who overcome (or say they've overcome)drug addiction getting second chances or even a third chance, but Jake has played that card to many times for me to want his career to be honored in the highest possible way.
Remember when he came back after finding Jesus Castillo, back in '96? He fell off the wagon shortly after and (.....) If he had only had a relapse and gone back in for treatment and then gone away quietly, I might be leading the charge to get him in. The fact is that he continued to be a selfish, drunk loser for another 12 years.
Stan's wines and spirit's hall of fame..maybe. Professional Wrestling hall of fame: No f'n way.

The thing is, it's not the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame. It's Vince McMahon's list of guys I wanna make a bit more money out of by selling tickets to see them.
If I won a bet with Vince, *I* would be entering the HoF next year instead of Goldberg. He'd probably get pissed at me and charge me in the locker room or something, but I know this front facelock move so I think I'd be ok. To touch a diva, it might be worth it. Depends on the diva...
Either way, getting into the HoF doesn't really mean anything in the grand scheme of things, other than one "last" chance to see someone you used to watch.

Not to turn this into any sort of theological debate, but you know, religion isn't an all-or-nothing kind of thing; there does exist an element of continual improvement, where some days you're on and some days you're off.
As for the Hall of Fame, it's not meant for the fans, it's really meant for the wrestlers themselves. It's meant for the WWE as a company to appreciate those individuals that directly and indirectly helped to build it. Eventually, people like Savage, Bruno and many others on the "outs" will receive their recognition, too.

I know what you're trying to say, the WWE Hall of Fame is controlled by the WWE (duh), but there is an organization called The Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame (in Amsterdam, New York) that was created almost 10 years ago that is totally independent and not under WWE control.

Sing this special song. It's just for you. Send him to rehab, induct him, and get him color commentating SmackDown ASAP. Striker sucks as a color guys and Grisham just sucks though honestly he's gotten better.
Or have him replace Lawler while Jerry can still complete a sentence.
I think you're using the term "vehicular homicide" very loosely here. Traditionally, vehicular homicide involves someone trying to kill someone using a car. Often, by trying to run them down with it.
