Right now the Capitals are the worst team in hockey and they're trying to get better AND cut salary at the same time, since nobody's coming to games. Jagr's making $11 million this year, so he's harder to move than a whale. Nobody wants an overpaid player who doesn't score. Well, maybe the Rangers, but they've always been able to throw money away.

Right now even the Rangers aren't eager to get Jagr I was told by a friend who keeps taps on those things..

They aren't doing that bad at the moment (for Rangers standards) and don't need another overprized winger..

Wait a month or two, they will sign him then :)

*sigh* Why bother?

What a shame. He was once the best player on the planet, then Mario comes back and he isnt even the best on the team.

Fragile ego and no real offensive help has made him stagnant in Washington.

Too bad the Blues are Cash strapped, I would like to see Jamir play in person.

And no matter what happens to the Capitals' roster, they'll still be able to beat the Isles every time out. Depressing, really. :-(

The funny thing is, since the trade talk really got going, Jagr started scoring again. Almost like he can turn it on and off like a lightswitch and he's trying to get his trade value up so he can get the hell out of Washington. That Jagr-Miller-Lang unit has been going strong for a few weeks now...I wonder what'll happen to the other two when Jagr finally does get moved.

Hmmmm, actually I enjoyed the game quite a lot, and the Hurricanes surprised me. We looked very undisciplined at the end of the last game with Toronto, so I was very relieved to see them playing as well as they did last night.
