Read it and weep.

Unforgettable to anyone who ever saw him work. Simply unforgettable. Except for "Suburban Commando". But that was lousy all around.

And of course, buried on CNN's page. Because Val Kilmer has a new movie.

Those of you who have not had the privelege should rent one of his old cowboy classics.

Vaya con dios, Jack.

Wow, this totally slipped underneath my radar.
His glorious cameo at the beginning of "Once Upon a Time in the West" is one of my favorite movie moments ever.
I am always impressed when a character can creep me out with just a grin.
Few could convey menace on screen like Mr. Elam
EPD, Jack.

To my shame, I haven't seen Elam's Western movies.

But I will note that of all the half-crazed junkie unlicensed proctologists I've ever seen on the silver screen, his in "Cannonball Run" was the best and most memorable.

I thought it was great that they brought back a lot of the characters that had been killed off, even if for just a few seconds each.
