If Damp would take the MLE to go to a contender, he should look towrds Indy, especially now that the Knicks used most of their MLE on Baker.
Personally, I think Dampier said "I'd go to a contender for the MLE" just so Atlanta would offer more money.

But if he thinks he's going to necessarily start immediately, then he'd better show some hustle, because I think Jeff Foster played extremely well last year. Dampier needs to get his motivation back. Hopefully having a chance to go for the NBA Championship with us will be what he needs.

That's the thing, eke. Are you gonna get the Damp from last year or the Damp who mailed it in 90% of the time like he did the previous seasons?
