Through a variety of circumstances, I lost a big chunk of the music and all the play lists from the copy of iTunes on my laptop. I've got all the music backed up on an external hard drive, so I'm not worried about that. Unfortunately, the only place I've got the play lists is on my iPod and I don't want to spend hours manually copying them. So, anybody know of a way to move the play lists from my iPod to my laptop (Windows XP SP3) that's relatively quick, easy, and, under 50$, cheap?

Maybe SharePod will work? It focuses more on moving songs back off an iPod, but I believe it can do playlists as well.

My brother told me about a program he used to transfer the songs from his iPod to a new PC called iDump. He says it works pretty good.

So all my music is on an external drive. It's the only thing on this drive. Here's my problem: About two or three months ago, all of a sudden my MacBook couldn't read the drive.
