And now the wait begins, because if Ty Conklin has to go into game 2 with what just happened hanging around his neck, that may just fry the Oilers.

But it should never have got there, even if Roloson got hurt. They were 3-0 up, and 3-1 going to the 3rd period. It should never have been close.

That was jaw-dropping excitement. A great game.

Roloson's out for the series? Damn, that's not a good sign. I can't see too much blame being put on Conklin; between nerves and lack of communication with his team, a mistake was bound to happen. Just a shame it caused the game-winning goal.

Wow.

How good is Cam Ward's glove hand?

If Roloson is gone, then your 2006 Stanley Cup Champions, the Hartford Whal....er, Carolina Hurricanes!

That was amazing. The save with 3 seconds left was jaw-dropping.

I was more amazed by the save he made earlier in the game against Horcoff. Diving all the way across and just getting his glove on a sure goal. Horcoff had that "what the f$%^" look on his face.

Excellent hockey game. Too bad about Roloson, as this series had classic written all over it. Without him, I just can't see the Oilers being able to pull this out.

Of course, stranger things have happened...

I am hoping that this is like the Michigan Wolverines fromt he late 80s (I think 1989) when their coach left right before the NCAA Tournalemtn and they rallied together and won it all.

That being said, I will still say the Oilers, but I will push it to 6 games instead of 5.

Well, that's just drunk talk! Sweet, beautiful drunk talk....

After the last game, I hate to admit this, but I'm thinking it'll be a Carolina sweep. That last game....OUCH. Painful to watch, for sure.

EDIT: to suppliment CRZ's schedule: in Canada, all games are broadcast on CBC.

The game last night was yet another great one.
Both teams keep fighting for it and keep playing.

My mind tells me that the Canes should win it but damnit, if any team can come back it's the Oilers.

The crowd is gonna be so freakin crazy this saturday.
Especially if they win it

Btw, I blame the Carolina fans for not winning it last night. I did not hear any 'We want the Cup' chants.
I love those, they give me chills..;)

Incredible game last night. Goals, hits, blocked shots and overtime bliss. Thats the way a Stanley Cup game should be.

Great hockey.

    Great hockey.
I normally don't plan to watch hockey games (with exception of Toronto facing either Calgary or Vancouver)...but I will be catching this one on TV. If the last game is any indication, it's going to be one hella awesome match.

I have to admit: I'm surprized at how the NHL fired back after their cancelled season.

It's good to see that the WWE isn't backing away from Batista or Cena. There's still some questions lingering over a few of the draft moves they either made or didn't make (Jericho being a prime example), but the stage is set for a solid run to Summerslam that may send the indicator down. The longer Triple H stays away is also a plus...

It's going to be a hell of a Game 7 tonight.

I was in Edmonton over the weekend and got caught amongst 30000 revellers after the Oilers' blowout victory in Game 6. A cop threatened to arrest me for loitering. Fun times!

I can't believe the NHL season is ending on the 19th of June.

I'm aware of that. However, in 2001-2 the NHL had a more compressed schedule to account for that break. Olympics or not, it's still too long a season.

Let me be the first here to congratulate the 2006 Stanley Cup champions; the Carolina Hurricanes.

Just like the rest of the series, this was an exciting game. Maybe not a great game but exciting until the end.

Gratz to Cam Ward. Hope he can live up to his reputation now..
Gratz to the Oilers for a great season. Hope they will be back next year.
Damn..the season is over. Now what am I gonna watch during the nights.
