That was jaw-dropping excitement. A great game.
Roloson's out for the series? Damn, that's not a good sign. I can't see too much blame being put on Conklin; between nerves and lack of communication with his team, a mistake was bound to happen. Just a shame it caused the game-winning goal.
If Roloson is gone, then your 2006 Stanley Cup Champions, the Hartford Whal....er, Carolina Hurricanes!
"You know what the fellow said: In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love. They had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock." --- Harry Lime (Orson Welles) in The Third Man

According to Wikipedia, one of the 6 is in Halifax and in 1973, the New England Whalers won it but were not able to skate around with it after they won because the trophy had not been finished yet. It would make a nice set for the Canes to pair with the Stanley Cup when they do win it all.
and Pisani, in OT, says not so fast....Game 6 in Edmonton.....

I normally don't plan to watch hockey games (with exception of Toronto facing either Calgary or Vancouver)...but I will be catching this one on TV. If the last game is any indication, it's going to be one hella awesome match.
I have to admit: I'm surprized at how the NHL fired back after their cancelled season.

smark/net attack Advisory System Status is: Elevated (Holds; July 5, 2005) It's good to see that the WWE isn't backing away from Batista or Cena. There's still some questions lingering over a few of the draft moves they either made or didn't make (Jericho being a prime example), but the stage is set for a solid run to Summerslam that may send the indicator down. The longer Triple H stays away is also a plus...
Let me be the first here to congratulate the 2006 Stanley Cup champions; the Carolina Hurricanes.
Just like the rest of the series, this was an exciting game. Maybe not a great game but exciting until the end.
Gratz to Cam Ward. Hope he can live up to his reputation now.. Gratz to the Oilers for a great season. Hope they will be back next year. Damn..the season is over. Now what am I gonna watch during the nights.
Guy Carbonneau out as Habs coach, Gainey back in. Click Here (tsn.ca) It's been an up and down year thus far in Habland. I'm not surprised by the move, but I have to wonder if in any other year that's not a centenial does Carbs get more lee-way.
