Sure, but my memory may be sketchy regarding the specifics:
Back in the Texas promotion (World Class?) that the Von Erich's wrestled in, they brought in a babyface introduced as Kerry and Kevin's cousin: Lance Von Erich. He had moderate success, but stopped appearing for whatever reason (fired?, lost his smile? etc). In the first televised show that Lance was scheduled to appear, Fritz Von Erich took the mic and explained he wasn't really related to the Von Erich's at all, and that he was just a performer. Since kayfabe was strictly adhered to at the time, it was pretty memorable.
Somehow Drs. Youngblood and James Andrews will come to the ring to explain that, during Kane's absences for a broken foot (I believe) and a torn pectoral muscle, he underwent thorough dermabrasion therapy, along with a series of skin grafts. He is how a beautiful young man that any women would be lucky to date — especially if they went camping and perhaps ran out of kerosene and matches.
Here's an idea Kane could be un-masked, have no scars it was all just Paul Barrer's tormenting, and then turn Kane into a ladies man, going on about how hot he is and how all the women were crying while he face was covered.
Funny nobody suggested Kane actually winning the title. I think that could work.
Why can't he just say he was never burned in the first place? He came in as a heel with Paul Bearer. Heels lie. He can say he was too embarrassed to tell everyone the truth and the reason he wore the mask was the he didn't want people to see he WASN'T burned up. Problem solved.
Best strategy is to forget the whole scarring all together. Start treating his mask like a lucha-mask. He does not want to lose it because it is his identity.
ANY story they could come up with to explain the lack of scarring would make for very poor TV. They just need to make a kick-ass angle out of him losing the mask, and then just sit back and ignore all of the internat flames about lack of continuuity.
My money is on a Kane win via DQ anyway, so the point is moot.
Best case is they actually give him the strap and he lives up to being the "Monster that beat Austin." Worst case is they actually make him take the mask off to continue his career, as I'm sure we've all forgotten Unibomb(SMW), Dr. Issac Yankem DDS, and Diesel part two. This last one I'm say because I agree with it and I've seen it once in this post already is that it's major flub and Evolution actually comes in for DQ leaving it at "Everbody's happy." Yeah riiiiigggghhhttt.
Hey look! My wiener is bigger than yours!
Banned Once! The independant thought alarm went off, knew to much about b*tching.
Is Kane even still supposed to be a childhood burn victim anymore? Didn't that Katie Vick storyline piss most of that away? (Or, because that was a pretty universally accepted Horrible Angle, has *that* been erased from WWE continuity?)

Ugh....do you REMEMBER what Glen Jacobs looked like?
Over 1400 posts and still never a Wiener of the Day!
Well you're in your little room and you're working on something good but if it's really good you're gonna need a bigger room and when you're in the bigger room you might not know what to do you might have to think of how you got started in your little room da da da
Seriously though, they *did* create an interesting angle for next week didn't they?
We don't expect HHH to lose the belt just like that, and speculate heavily how they will deal with Kane's unmasking. Yet there is always that tiny little chance that the title will change hands, or that they DO have a good angle/idea of how to unmask..or that it becomes one great cluster fuck. It's really one of those things that is either gonna rock or gonna suck big time. I assume this type of discussion takes place on all boards and also in the worlds of the no-so-vocal-online fans..
Kudos to the WWE (writers) that they create some sort of buzz for next week, without throwing Goldberg vs HHH at us from out of nowhere or anything like that.
Why make things more complicated than they have to be? The creative staff and Raw viewers are wasting a lot of time and energy trying to figure out what to do with this Kane losing his mask angle. If you want to see what Kane looks like, look up Isaac Yankem or fake Diesel for a pic. He is not scarred, like I said in a different post, he ain't much of a looker and "Big Sexy" he sure is not. Glen Jacobs is not a very good looking man. That is why he could only get over with a mask on.
Glen Jacobs wishes he was half as good looking as the original Diesel himself, Kevin Nash.
Originally posted by VanillaSkyHey, I'm all for trying something new with Kane...his character's been stagnant for so long that it's going to be nice to have a change. How would I book it? Bring Paul Bearer back and when the mask comes off, have it so Paul has convinced Kane that he is hideous and disgusting whilst in reality he looks normal. Remember, Paul said a while back that all of Kane's body was covered in scars but we now know that to be false. I think that's just about the only satisfying answer I can come up with at this point...but I have faith in the WWE writers. They have to have something good planned for us!
That's the only satisfying scenario I've seen so far.
And have you WATCHED their TV recently? They certainly DO NOT have to have something good planned.
... Kevin Nash when he was doing those Vince McMahon impersonations on Nitro, with all that gawd-awful makeup on? Something tells me that it could be good for a laugh if Nash ever does return to the WWF. Lets' save it ... for the pay per view!
