Note the capitalized ME in the thread title because I'm sure a lot of people liked RAW tonight.

The show started out ok with a decent IC title match, and Eddy's return. Eddy looked pretty good, but let's just hope he doesn't screw up again because the RAW roster could certainly use him.

And then less than 10 minutes into the show, Vince dances into the ring. Oh gawd, will he ever leave RAW? then Vince gets the entire next segment, the final segment, and is there pretty much the whole show. After the second segment, I stopped watching RAW and taped the rest. Yet after reading the recaps, I don't really feel I want to go back and watch it. Of course the main event was a "classic" match from Kane and X-pac with the obligatory NWO run in. Was that really the best main event they could have come up with for the first "Flair RAW"? I'm sorry any show where the main event is the interview, just really puts me off. Why would I want to watch a wrestling show where the main event is a copout interview? Judging from the recap its pretty much exactly the same thing WWF did when the Rock came back last summer.

Ok, look a lot of you probably liked RAW tonight and everything. But I am just sick and tired of Vince showing up on TV, and even when he's not supposed to. Of course the night after wrestlemania he had to go through his stupid fucking 20 minute interview about saying goodbye to RAW, yet he's still there. If tonight's show was supposed to get me to watch this whole "brand extension" angle it didn't do a very good job, if I turned it off about 20 minutes in. Then again, if it was only me that did it, I guess WWF is doing ok with it.

Vince at Raw tonight made sense becuase he was trying to sign Austin. However, if he does it again NEXT week.....well, that'd be bad.

Didn't they say on Smackdown that Vince was going to be on RAW in order to lure Austin to Smackdown?

I think the biggest mistake of all was putting the new Raw up against the NCAA basketball finals. Reagardless of who was on that night.

I'm in total agreement with you, Vile One. Last night's show sucked. Everyone on the RAW thread liked it so much, I wimped out and didn't post there.

I'm willing to cut the show *some* slack because it was the first night and all, and I'm assuming that Vince won't be back AT ALL, EVER. But I found it to be painful viewing, and halfway through it dawned on me: roster split or not, it's still being written by the same people, and I'm still going to have to sit through excruciating 20-minute segments where wrestlers stand around talking. This must end! Idiots!

oh, and the wrestling sucked too

The wrestling wasn't terribly offensive...except Spike Dudley's total inabilty to co-operate on Regal's moveset.

The booking was mind numbing, though (except for the Eddy run in). And it all really does center around Vince. Ick.

Well as Bucsfan said, if you don't like WWF tv don't watch. So I skipped Smackdown last week, and only watched part of RAW. However, maybe I should've watched some of smackdown so I knew not to watch RAW. Agh, I don't know.

I don't know, I enjoyed the show. I'm sure they're working on getting the kinks (by which I guess I mean Bossman and Perfect) out of the system. I also don't think any show needs both Debra and Terri on it...they'll scare away more casual fans than they'll bring in. And yeah, if Vince is on again next week or if Flair is on SmackDown, there's a problem.

Well I just don't this RAW was particularly different than anything else we've seen for the past few years. As Shea said, the show still looks like its being written by the same people. If this continues, I think that is going to be a problem.
