I have a KFC and a McDonald's by work, so I'll be making a McDouble Double Down.

And then my toilet will punch me in the face.

Ditto. I'd eat grilled chicken with cheese and bacon in between. But not from KFC.

The portion size must be pretty small judging from the "nutritional" information listed below.

I'm thinking about breakfast biscuit sized.

(McDonald's, not Hardee's).

Would you eat this?

Bacon Explosion (bbqaddicts.com)

As much as I think I'd regret it, I'd probably have a bite or two.

OK, time for some needed perspective:

Here again is the info for the new sammich according to their website (linked below):

KFC Double Down:
540 calories, 32g fat, 1380mg sodium

Let's pick some chicken items from the other big burger places (along with some of their "signature" items and/or items where I could find some bacon and cheese) and compare the calories, fat and sodium against it. Is the Double Down really that bad after all?

McDonald's
McChicken 360 16 830
Big Mac 540 29 1040
Premium Crispy Chicken Club 630 28 1360
Angus Bacon & Cheese 790 39 2070
Burger King
Spicy Chick'n Crisp 450 30 810
Original Chicken 630 39 1390
TenderCrisp 800 46 1640
Whopper 670 40 1020
A1 Steakhouse XT 970 61 1930
Jack in the Box
Chicken Sandwich 440 23 910
with Bacon 480 26 1140
Sourdough Grilled Chicken Club 550 29 1490
Jack's Spicy Chicken 570 25 950
with cheese 650 31 1240
Homestyle Ranch Chicken Club 700 33 1940
Jumbo Jack 540 32 850
with cheese 620 39 1250
Ultimate Cheeseburger 870 61 1490
Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger 940 66 1840
Hardee's
Spicy Chicken Sandwich 440 21 1140
Big Chicken Fillet Sandwich 710 38 1610
1/3 lb. Low Carb Thickburger 420 32 1010
1/4 lb. Griled Cheese Bacon Thickburger 820 59 2120
1/3 lb. Grilled Cheese Bacon Thickburger 870 60 2360
Six Dollar Thickburger 930 59 1960
Six Dollar Grilled Cheese Bacon Thickburger 1060 80 2240
2/3 lb. Double Bacon Cheese Thickburger 1200 84 2450
2/3 lb. Monster Thickburger 1320 95 3020
Carl's Jr.
Bacon Swiss Crispy Chicken 750 40 1990
The Low Carb Six Dollar Burger 570 43 1480
Famous Star with Cheese 660 39 1300

White Castle 140 7 210
Bacon Cheeseburger 200 11 480
SO! What have we learned? Buns have a WHOLE LOTTA CALORIES, YO

Also, if you can't get a Double Down, better to eat at White Castle. ;-)

THANK YOU, GOOD NIGHT.

Since we're all hungry now, may I suggest the Hardee's Double Sausage Egg & Cheese biscuit? Only 830 calories (570 from fat), 63 grams of fat, and 2100mg of sodium.

REALLY delicious.

One of them should hold you over for the next nine days.

This is a company crossover version of the McGangbang (aka; best tasting thing at McDonalds), no?

You sir, if this is the case, are GENIUS.

You'll have to forgive me if you're fondness for Arby's requires me to get a second opinion.

I'm pretty shocked how well the Wendy's Spicy Chicken Fillet held up - 480 calories, 17 grams of fat, 1400mg of sodium (although I think Wendy's buns are disgusting, so I am not eating them anymore, anyway).

If that last sentence doesn't make SOMEONE'S list for Out Of Context Quote of the Week, I'll be very disappointed.
