Not a knockout debut - well, "Charlie Gets Crippled" was fantastic, "The Gang Goes Jihad" was OK - but great enough to be happy about the show being back. I gotta say though, I was half-expecting to hear a laugh track after some of the dialogue.
I swear - a week ago, I was having a discussion with my friend about whether you say "Jewish people" or "Jews," and whether one was more acceptable than the other.
I might need a little time to get used to DeVito. The idea that Charlie is rooming with someone who can upstage him as THE shameless asshole *is* pretty brilliant. Everybody had their shameless asshole going on in "Crippled" and it was *great*.
I loved and LOVED the "wink, wink" when the guys were telling Sweet Dee that she wasn't part of the gang. And I love Sweet Dee.
And remember, we must always keep on top of what's been going on in Israel, especially the tsunami and the Superdome incident.
EDIT: I almost forgot about the Wawa namedrop...awesome.
