An article on Yahoo's front page today talks about how Italian youth are crazy about WWE programming. Sadly, no mention of Nunzio as a beloved Italian hero... Yahoo (news.yahoo.com)

A brief snippet

You can always tell when the writer follows wrestling when he composes gems like this one:
"Italian boys have new heroes: beefy, loud American wrestlers like Rey Mysterio and Undertaker."

The beefy, gregarious Rey Rey. I guess they only get Smackdown in Italy...and they still like it?

I just remembered that im absent minded

That 9-year-old sounds suspiciously like a WWE flak.

I refuse to accept that any nine-year-old boy in Italy prefers wrestling to soccer (boy, I hate using that term). Call me old fashioned, call me naive, call me whatever, but I just don't believe it.

That's what I was thinking too. I half suspect that the original quote ended with "Vince McMahon is a genius!"

Can anyone pinpoint the WWE moment mentioned at the end of the article that supposedly involved someone sticking a screwdriver into someone's head? I certainly couldn't place it.

Me and a friend had a formula once that we named after a wrestler but I don't remember who the wrestler is anymore.
