I was talking to my ex girlfriend, who's a HUGE Spiderman Fan and she's insisting that Topher Grace isn't playing Eddie Brock and that there's this big twist. Anyone hear anything about this, or am I way late on this? Who is he playing then? Hogoblin?
Kevin Kelly: "Mr. Austin, would you like to comment on Wade Keller's Take that endorsing the XFL hurts your anti-authority character?"
Steve Austin: "Oh shit, he actually said that? I thought the boys in the back were ribbing me!"
Kelly: "No, he really said that. Did they tell you the part about you sitting in the stands, looking all skeptical?"
Austin: "AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah... oh man that was too much."
Originally posted by Roy.Everything I've seen insists that he's playing Eddie Brock/Venom, and I thought I read that he was introduced as the character at Comic-Con this year during a big roundtable of Spider-Man 3 actors.
The only thing I've read that might be a surprise to some is:
Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
There's debate (or maybe not, I haven't kept up) as to whether he's playing the Ultimate Spider-Man version of Venom or the original comic version of Venom (or some hybrid).
Like I said, maybe this is old news, but that's the only real "controversy" I've read about Topher playing Eddie.
Without revealing what's hidden under the spoiler tag, what's the difference between the two?
Here, look at the monkey! Look at the silly monkey!
I thought this was the best episode of The Office since before Steve Carell left the show. Certainly the best Pam and Dwight interaction in a good long while. The opening gag of "Andy's mom was in an accident" was amazing.
