I haven't been reading comics for the past several years so I was hoping someone could answer a question for me. I have a 5 year old nephew that loves superheroes and want to know everything about them. I can generally answer most of his questions, or find the answer somewhere, but this one has me stumped and he is very curious.

I found a figure the other day of Iron Man in Captain American armor. It is painted red and blue and came with Cap's shield. The package said "Concept Armor." So my question is, did Iron Man ever actually wear this armor in the last few years? If so, why?

Thanks!

Do you have a picture? Cap wore some armor back in the mid '90s, and there was an Iron Man image that came out around the end of Civil War that had him in red, white and blue armor, but if you could describe it better, or had a picture, I could tell you for sure.

As the article states, he wore the armor in "What If?: Civil War". (Or maybe just on the variant cover...I didn't read the issue.)

Here's the cover.

I've been a Marvel Zombie for 20+ years, but that period is part of the time I had to stop buying for financial reasons. Now I'm trying to track down all the back issues I need, sigh.

Thanks! That answers it. I thought it was pretty cool looking and my nephew loved it because he loves both characters. Thank for your help!

I'm pretty sure you can get trades.
