I'm very limited with my knowledge of technology, and I'm having trouble with either iTunes or my iPod shuffle. It's one of the new ones that clip on to your clothing, and I normally can load well over 200 songs on it. However, trying to load new songs last night and today, I'm only transferring around 75 songs. I've tried shutting down and restarting my whole laptop and making a playlist for it to download from, with the same result.

I've tried to look for a solution online with no luck. I just don't understand a lot of what it means.

Has anyone else ran into this problem and could direct me into a solution? Thanks in advance!

When it's in iTunes, expand your iPod's list-o-playlists and make sure there weren't some "On the Go" ones created on the sneak when you weren't looking. (I had this happen on my Nano recently.)

Thanks. When I clicked on the "settings" tab with the device plugged in, it showed that I had about a third full of audio, and very little free space. The rest was allocated to "other" and I don't know what it was. I chose to restore the shuffle and delete the contents. When it was done I was able to load the usual number of songs. Still, not sure what "other" consisted of!

I like to use AOL IM to talk to a select number of individuals. But while I'm talking to them, I'm exposed to my whole list of high school and college people I've added to my buddy list over time who feel the need to bother me.
