Last night at around 11pm EST I made a phone call to the residence of the late Stu Hart. I had no idea what to expect once the phone was picked up but what followed was absolutely amazing.

Keith Hart picked up the phone. I gave him a pretty weak excuse for calling saying that his number was on my caller ID with the name Stuart Hart for the listing. This opened up a bit of small talk about the recent passing of his father. And then came more. He wouldn't stop talking. For nearly 2 hours this man talked about his life, his family and their business. All of this with very little prodding or questioning from me. I don't know if he was just looking for an ear to talk to but i know more about the Hart family and wrestling in general than i ever did before. Among the highlights:

Says that Bret will be doing something with Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania XX. He says that most of the family didn't blame Vince for Owen's death but Bret forced the issue and Alienated Vince from the rest of the family. Mcmahon originally offered to settle the suit for 50 million but Bret insisted on going to court winning only about 30 million in the judgement.

He's pissed off at Bret for turning around and kissing vince's ass after years of putting the family through shit with Mcmahon.

No mention of brets stroke or current health.

Keith currently has power of attorney over all of Stu's property and investments. He said he plans on selling the house unless some of the family can help with upkeep. he also said there have been some problems with his nephews stealing plaques and trophies from the house.

Said that he believes Stu fell out of his hospital bed during his last stay and that it contributed to his death.

Claimed that Steve Austin faked his neck injury after Owens piledriver to get paid time off to nurse other injurys. Also said that Mick Foley did the same with a knee injury.

Had a talk about steroid use. saying that it killed his brother in-law Davey Boy Smith. Claimed that the Ultimate Warrior used to take Gorilla hormones. Says that Hogan has been and will always be on the juice. Also that Scott Stiener is going to kill himself with a needle.

This was close to a 2 hour phone conversation. Most of it was spent with him going into detail about the setup of his family. A good amount about the infighting among the kids to get power of attorney while Stu was sick. Also in explaining the history between Stu Hart and Vince Sr.

There's a lot more to this conversation than what i've posted but it is New Years Eve. Way to much was covered to write it all out here. I also don't have the benifit of a taped conversation so this is all coming off my head. If you want to know anything else just ask. He might just have had something to say about that too.

So what, you just find his number on the net and call the guy up claiming he called you first and just start talking??

That's crazy but that might work!

Yeah, is this for real, or is this some New Years beverage of yours talking. If it's real, that.. is.. an.. amazing story.

It is possible that this was written while extremely drunk, as this is New Year's Day. Still it seems too weird to not be real. The Hart family is a total soap opera.

Don't all professional wrestlers have "more guts than brains" when it comes right down to it?

I think Jeff Hardy has just gotten to *freaky* looking for most fans. That look just don't fly down South or in the Midwest. I personally think he's got a better look than his first big run with the company.
