| #1 Posted on 3.6.06 0018.04 | Instant Rating: 5.14 | So after a friend of mine tells me about the new IE and how great it looks, I broke down and decide to check it out for myself. I have tried to use Firefox because I like the tabbed browsing, but the pages always seem to load slower than Internet Explorer, which can get slightly annoying after a while, but IE has finally added Tabbed Browsing, as well as a quick tab button, to let you see little screen shots of all your tabs that you currently have open. They have slimmed down the top, allowing for more of the page to be viewed at once. I believe it default comes with the address bar, and the tab bar. I dont know how stable it is, knowing Microsoft prolly not very, but I figured it would be worth a try, and so far, I gotta say, I'm liking it.

Damn Microsoft: making their technologies for one audience only. Their new media players...messengers, and internet browsers..ONLY FOR XP. Makes those of us who don't like XP realy upset.

It's built on the IE engine, so the pages do load quicker than a normal Firefox install, but it already has tabbed browsing (and loads of other features) built in. They're getting ready to release Maxthon 2, and it's a big step up from both IE and Firefox. | wmatistic

Just downloaded that new Office 2007 beta as well and I'm really digging it. Something as simple as replacing the standard menus with tabs creates a great look. Seems easier to find the option I want. Really like it so far. | Packman V2

No DSL, and it's not like snail like slow, but from my experiences it does load slower than IE, especially on a lot of sites with a lot of images/multimedia.
I am liking Maxthon though, and have been using it on my laptop since I heard about it. It doesn't seem to crash nearly as much as IE, has the tabbed browsing, and just seems to run better on my system.
