What's cool about this feud is that both HHH and RVD have somnething in common.

Both are rampant drug abusers.

Hunter Hearst-Helmsley and his steroids vs. Rob Van Dam and his marijuana.

The roided freaks and pot head demographic of the WWF/E fanbase should be really into this one.

Actually, the drugs are a negative in the feud, as it will force the druggies to choose between buying more for their stash, or buying the ppv. Odds are the stash will win.

Thank you Mr. Wanz for the check, now you get an AWA World Title Reign. But be careful, my boy Greg is a heat machine.

I'm waiting for this promo to hype the match where HHH gets all intense and goes on for 5 minutes about how he's the game and blah blah blah... when RVD cuts in with his, "Hey, that's cool, dude. I just want the title shot. Could we skip all the rest of this?"

Perhaps Tammy Sytch can be the guest ref for the HHH/RVD "druggie" match?

oh man... i'm not the biggest rvd fan in the world, but if he did something like that, i think i would be! i can just picture the look on hhh's face.. and rvd with that same look as always on his, hahahaha.. oh man. then they brawl, and boom. hhh is mad because rvd wants his title, and took away precious promo time, and rvd wants the title (and to shut up hhh). that way, rvd has sympathy from EVERYBODY, marks and smarks alike!

I would love to see Rob Van Dam (or just about anybody I like, for that matter) interrupt Triple H. If asteroidboy's idea actually went down, I probably would laugh about it for the rest of the entire show. Dude, we need to get asteroidboy in the lineup as being one of the idiots in the back writing this crap.

The best RVD has been is during segments with Christian and Big Show. I'm bad at remembering the exacts, but basically the heel whines and bitches about his lack of a title shot. Big Show would say something like, "Why don't I get a title shot?" To which a half-lidded RVD replied, "Ummmm.. because you're a tool?"

And that works for him. When RVD tanks is when he tries to be something he's not - an intense, cliche-spewing tough guy, basically every top face that the WWE has given us lately. It doesn't work for RVD, and it exposes his lack of range. And if they try to force him into that mold, it's not gonna work. So they need to keep it within the realm of, "Hey, it's cool, let's get this over with, so I can go out and smoke a blunt."

(In not so many words, of course)

I don't know if RVD can ride that into a top spot, but I think the WWE shouldn't be afraid to experiment with different kinds of characters. Everyone now is either "crazy" or is full of "ruthless agression" or is tougher than a two-dollar steak. And there's a limited life span to all of those.

Here's something else interesting about this feud...

If this match takes place ten years ago, it's Robbie V vs. Terra Ryzing. Imagine that headlining a WCW PPV in a title match.

This is why it's fun -- and impossible -- to think about who'll be on top 10 years from now. You know, it could be something like Mark Jindrak vs. Bull Buchanan in the main event at Wrestlemania XX-8.

I think it's all too safe to assume that Bull Buchanon will NEVER main event any show while in the WWF. AND/Or anywhere else for that matter if there is a god.

True, he might not main event in the wwF, but he could possibly do so in the wwE. Go figure.

As for who is going to be on top 10 years from now, that's obvious. It'll be Triple H vs. the Undertaker maining 'Mania.

Caped Boy: Excuse me, ladies. You may remember me as the guy who came to dinner a few weeks ago with underwear on my head. My name is Keith Stat from Milbourne, New Jersey. State bird, the mosquito. And as you may have heard I am recently a crowned class B dungeon-master. So if any of you would like to play D&D today, please speak now or forever hold your peace.
[He chuckles, and there is an awkward silence at the table.]
Caped Boy: Anyone? Alexa!
[Alexa gives him a withering glare.]
Caped Boy: Maybe you would like to join in? We do need a druid, and you have definitely cast a level 5 charm spell on me.
Alexa: In your dreams, douche-bag!
Caped Boy: Douche-bags are hygienic products, I take that as a compliment. Thank you.
[Keith walks off]
Alexa: Ewww!

Well seeing as how I'm not trying to change anyone else's mind I don't see the problem with me leaving a single letter in rather than another. SOOOO sorry to upset you maskedgeek. I'll be sure to leave those 3 letters out from now on.

If he really wanted to no-sell, he'd still be calling it the WWWF.

I dunno, I never really saw much of RVD in ECW, but am I the only one who thinks his character is a bit limited? I mean, I've seen people harp on the Rock's character because they say he "lacks depth," but RVD's a freakin' kiddie pool.

RVD's gimmick seems a bit shallow because he's had to dumb it down a bit from the ECW days. They need to bring back the weed references... and Bill F'n Alphonso! YEAH, daddy, THAT's what I'm talkin' about!

While it wouldn't work all the time, in rare occasions like this, you can go with the old "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog" saying.
