Last year Oklahoma was a No. 1 seed in the NCAA. This year, they will go to the NIT after having a wretched season.

I wonder if there are any facts out there on how often a team that was a No. 1 did not even make the tournament the next year.



At least some day maybe I'll understand why some day maybe you never can. Or something like that.

Marquette is a Final Four team that didn't make the tournament the following year. Not the same, but similar. I think it was mentioned who last did that (I'll check).

Alexandra "Sasha" McHale, daughter of Houston Rockets coach and former Boston Celtics Hall of Fame forward Kevin McHale, has died at age 23. McHale has been on personal leave from the team since November 10.
