I can't remember a redesign I've hated recently. I find that usually site redesigns are for the better. But ow, my eyes! They hurt so bad! Is Widro actually intentionally trying to blind me?
It also throws my vision out of whack and makes me see all blurry for the rest of the day. That could be just me, but I'm guessing probably not. After all, you're straining your eyes, and eyestrain isn't good.
I don't mind the color scheme so much, but I wish they would organize their reviews and articles a little better. Specifically, if they could be listed alphabetically, that would make it a lot more helpful if you're trying to find a review for a specific game or movie.

I'm with you on that, for me it's a lot easier to read white on a black background.
That's why I select the "Pffft!" layout option when viewing this site in particular. It'd be interesting to see what layout style for The-W.com is most popular with registered users.
Edit - fixed. For some reason I originally read Stagger's post as saying that he preferred black lettering on white. *shrug*

It's funny that yourself and others have brought that up. Myself, I've always found the complete opposite to be true, in that it's a lot easier for me to read white on a black background.

The one we force upon you after you register, naturally!
We always meant to encourage the more enterprising folks out there to design their own skins and then give us the hex values to program into the board, but ... we kinda never put a page together to help people actually test out different colours and what not.
That last one is relatively new...I can't remember when Aaron put that one in. Those of you who like black text might like that one more than the good ol' ezboard scheme (which remains VASTLY underrated).

Nope - this was loooooooooong after that. If I recall correctly, I think Guru wanted a more monochrome setup - or rather, one with black text (as opposed to the "Greyscale" setup, which was still white text).

we should be bashing me and my site! cmon folks!
Too busy to use capital letters and apostrophes - tsk, tsk.
When are you going to buy some more ads? We made a lot of money off those!
i dont think it comes as a surprise to anyone that hyatte didn't follow through on the summer of hyatte... good to see him post something for our 1 year anniversary... oh wait... he posted nothing... what a boon to the site!
There were only 3 reasons I still went to IP and that was Hyatte, Eric S. and the Comics Nexus. With Hyatte gone and the turnover rate that is happening at the Nexus all that's left is Eric S. and he is now becoming as sporadic as Hyatte.
Plus as of this post, I can't even get into the site to see if Eric S. has decided to post this week or not.
The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it.
