Is he allowed to leave the country?
Probably not any more:
Originally posted by ESPN.com againJones's release came after "Outside the Lines" reporter John Barr contacted the NFL, the Cowboys and Jones' attorneys about a piece scheduled to air Sunday in which three Atlanta-area men allege that Jones arranged for someone to shoot at them two months after the football player was suspended by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in 2007.
The June 2007 shooting occurred outside a suburban Atlanta strip club. One of the shooting victims told "Outside the Lines" that he had a dispute with Jones inside the strip club and that not long after he and the two others left the club, a hail of bullets struck their car. The NFL knew about that incident, but charges were never brought against anyone because the victims did not see the shooter.
...which begs the question, how fucking stupid can one human being be?!

There is more than one arena league. Wichita has a team in an active one.
And I just had a tryout with a different one in December. No, I didn't get called back, nor did I go to their second tryout. Rumors at the tryout and on the team's own message board was saying that the coach had some players follow him from Baltimore, signed some players from a FL area arena team and they're using the $50 tryouts as "fund raisers."

Sorry to hear about that. Next time you pay money to hit people, make sure you hurt people
*I just saw Jones on the pregame for the Ravens/Titans game, and he referred to his suspension for four games this season as a vacation, and his lawyer interrupted him a few times just to spin things back into a positive light. This clown doesn't deserve an NFL career.

He says that the NFL and the Cowboys already knew about it (remember, this is about a 2007 incident) and that the allegations towards him are false. He says he was already questioned about it and seems to think everyone else had put this behind them. He also seems to think he'll be back in Dallas next season, but he doesn't explain why.
Why? So far, there's been one PROVEN (Sorry Maurice, howsabout some proof next time?) incident of a player receiving an improper benefit. If there are more, then yes, it would be reasonable to expect sanctions.
