The Cowboys announced his release on Wednesday. The transaction will be made official on Feb. 9th, which is the first day that NFL clubs are allowed to make waiver requests.

And I just had a tryout with a different one in December. No, I didn't get called back, nor did I go to their second tryout. Rumors at the tryout and on the team's own message board was saying that the coach had some players follow him from Baltimore, signed some players from a FL area arena team and they're using the $50 tryouts as "fund raisers."

Sorry to hear about that. Next time you pay money to hit people, make sure you hurt people 
*I just saw Jones on the pregame for the Ravens/Titans game, and he referred to his suspension for four games this season as a vacation, and his lawyer interrupted him a few times just to spin things back into a positive light. This clown doesn't deserve an NFL career.

He says that the NFL and the Cowboys already knew about it (remember, this is about a 2007 incident) and that the allegations towards him are false. He says he was already questioned about it and seems to think everyone else had put this behind them. He also seems to think he'll be back in Dallas next season, but he doesn't explain why.
