Fantastic show this week. Low Ki/ Samoa Joe, Gail Kim/Angelina Love stole the entire show on a night that was very wrestling focused, with some interesting story development between EC3 and Rhino and James Storm and Sanada as well as Dixie Carter's recovery process. Low Ki and Samoa Joe conquered a crowd-pleasing stiff style out there to create a solid match that saw Joe pick up the win. Gail Kim continues to prove why she is not one of, simply the best women's wrestler today. What a Last Knockout Standing Match capped off by an epic finish off the top rope to Angelina Love that even Velvet Sky couldn't stop. Abyss and Bram are simply made for hardcore and had a physical match on par with their last one. Other matches I deemed decen. Looking forward to the series of matches between the Hardys, Wolves and Dudz. overall the crowd was highly vocal, interactive and into the show. NYC is the best.
Pretty darn good show. Low Ki vs Joe was a really good match that had a white hot crowd in the palms of their hands. I wish the match got five minutes more and it could have if they cut that Dixie Carter interview, but Queen Dixie can't even stand being off tv for more than a few weeks. I hope Joe and Ki get 15-20 minutes on PPV to tear it up. Think it's too soon to turn Rhino and break off his association with, but EC3 and Spud were great in their roles. EC3 is really one of the most entertaining acts in wrestling. So I guess Storm is a cult leader like Bray Wyatt now? Meh. Liked the promo and set up the three way tag title matches. Angelina vs Gail was a fantastic last woman standing match that had a great finish. Gail is IMO the best female in ring performer in the US. Amazing that the WWE dropped the ball on her twice. Would rather see Bram and Magnus be a tag team than be stuck in a hardcore feud with Abyss. The Anderson-Shaw feud still sucks and it's unfortunate that Gunner has been dragged down thanks to this storyline. Main event was fine too many guys wearing black and it was at times hard to figure out who is who. Taz even mentioned it in passing. Roode and Aries were really over. Finish leading to intrigue for next week was okay with me. Good job also pushing the three way tag for next week too. Gotta give MVP credit as he's really gotten Lashley over thanks to strong mic work and the booking has been strong too. All in all, a very good show.
I was happy to see Shaw finally get a chance to get his hands on Anderson. I am also confused that TNA seems to now be running with my interpretation of Shaw's character being a good guy. I'm happy, but I wasn't expecting that turn of events.
I'm a little annoyed that right as I get back into watching TNA Impact, they move it to the one night a week where I'm always out of the house and can't watch. Wednesday's my gaming night and my house doesn't have TiVo. Maybe I can pirate it from somewhere ... I definitely wanna see the Knockouts match at least, and Low Ki/Joe.
The genious of the 3-hour Nitro vs. 2-hour RAW is that you could watch the first hour (the Cruiserweights) and then flick over and watch RAW for the rest of the time...it was AWESOME! Heck, they had so many good cruiserweights.
