I thought that was a rather boring bust of a big new concept debut. Aries/Bully was about the only feud with any heat going into tonight. MCMG, TNA's most popular team, just returned from a year-long absence and said the tag belts were their only goal. Nobody in the X Division besides Aries has wrestled in >1 month. Last week, Daniels & Kazarian cost AJ his match and taunted him with a secret. Instead of any of those guys, most of whom are quite popular and all of whom had bigger reasons to issue a challenge than many guys who did so tonight, making challenges, we got Borash, Devon, Tessmacher & Anarquia issuing challenges while the 1st group were content in standing backstage all night or being Garett's backup rather than challenging their rivals or putting themselves in a position to get a title shot. Baffling. So many of TNA's most exciting workers not wrestling on such a show was a mistake. The World Champion was barely used too. Also for a show that was seemingly sold largely on being a platform for new guys to shine, there sure was a shit load of Hogan vignettes and a lot of Eric Bischoff. For a show with "Fight" in its title, there sure was a lot of talking, most of which was quite bad and awkward. I still think OFN has a lot of potential. I just hope next month's installment is stronger.

Devon/Bully was pretty good.

The Borash stuff was bad, pointless and too long. Do 2% of fans even care about the Bischoff/Borash Facebook crap? Do 2% even know about it? That was a big waste of time.

I'm not sure why Angle vs. Anarquia happened or why Angle is turning yet again.

Robbie E vs Alex Silva was a bad start for tonight's other new concept. If this is just a way to introduce OVW guys, then I don't have high hopes for Gutcheck because the talent level in OVW seems to be pretty weak.

I wish they quit putting Hardy & Anderson together. It rarely leads to anything good. A thrown together team who've only teamed maybe three times 2 years ago and dislike each other being more deserving of a title shot than any regular team on the roster makes that division look bad and makes Hogan look like a poor decisionmaker.

The tag title match was OK. Joe/Magnus vs. Daniels/Kazarian could be good, but I’m disappointed that the Guns already look to be out of the title picture and have nothing going on. They’ve been back <1 month and despite being the only credible team in the company minus the champs and its most popular team, have already sunk so low that they’re less deserving of a title shot than Young/ODB, a team I don't recall ever winning a match and recently lost a 3 minute handicap match, and 2 random guys who hate each other. I didn’t expect they’d get an upper level push when they returned, but I thought they’d go >2 weeks before being used this inconsequentially.

Garett cutting promos while guys who’re far more talented, more over, and in most cases, much stronger talkers stand behind him doing nothing is getting old. The guy main eventing the next PPV playing Garett’s goon/cheerleader two weeks in a row is dumb. Speaking of which, the build for Roode/RVD tonight was pretty scarce. That’s unfortunate as that video was probably the best and most productive thing on the show.

The only thing I enjoyed on this show was Daniels' promo.

"And you've got a man and the worst beard I've ever seen"

But man, the TNA tag scene has fallen. When you have to legit include ODB/Young just to make it seem like you HAVE a division, you are in bad shape.

And Hogan is the most overrated promo in the business. Take away the formula Hulk promo and he is a trainwreck.

I happened to come across Impact for the first time in a while last night... and this is what I get. See you next year, TNA.

If that last moment of TNA with Bischoff isn't a good analogy for how the company has presented itself in the last two years, I don't know what is.

And speaking of that, have we already come full circle already that we're back to stupid toilet skits that make you say "why do I watch this"? It wasn't cool back in the 90's and it's not cool today.

Honestly, it's to the point where I just scan the spoilers and if MCMG aren't in a match, I don't really care anymore.

Didn't catch this one due to the Rangers game and it looks like I didn't miss anything good. Making Eric Bischoff the focal point of the show ten days after he lost a match with a stip that said if his team lost he'd be gone forever is ridiculous. I'm a big Jeremy Borash guy, but he should be doing backstage interviews or be the play by play announcer instead of Tenay not be involved in storylines.. Love that the first guy in the gut check challenge lost in two minute to a jobber. What a joke. Gotta laugh at the continued push of Garrett even though it's chased off viewers in droves the last six weeks. I though they were putting on really good shows from October to late February early March, but since then the shows have stunk. I guess it has to do with Hogan being around and Bischoff getting even more power with Russo gone. No idea why they're turning Angle face as the have too many babyfaces already.

When you actually long for the days of Vince Russo, you know you're beyond hope.

I also wasn't sure if this should get it's own thread but or not but as of May 31st, Impact is airing an hour earlier at 8pm.

Oddly enough, they pretty much state in the press release that the reason is because there is less competition earlier in the evening so they don't have to worry about going head to head with other sports (which is kind of weird since I'm assuming most sports start at 8).

I'm less pining for Russo and more wondering if Pritchard lost some power after being gone for a month after having a heart attack since the show has dropped off since early March.Russo at the end was just filling out format sheets. I do agree the press release makes zero sense as most sporting events on the East Coast start at 7 and the games end at or around 10 pm. The only thing that would make sense in this move is getting away from Jersey Shore at 10 pm as they lose a lot of viewers in the second hour to that show. Also, TNA will be going up against Prime time shows now more than ever and more NFL games than ever in the fall. I can't see the ratings getting better with this move to be quite honest.

TNA, just man. If they found a dog that farted rating points they would kill it, because Hogan wouldn't work for it. I am glad two weeks after making the biggest dumb ass move so far this year in not giving the belt to Storm, they did nothing with the belt. Great, good choice going with more Bischoff drama. Just, stupid.
