Ok show, the matches were a slight step up from last week.
The whole Gunner vs Storm needs a clear direction, honestly. Whose face? Who is heel? The match seemed alright but turned into a near clusterfuck at the end (what double count out, lol?) At least they didn't have Storm win the WHC title shot, that would have been too predictable.
Brooke looked fine as fuck tonight, her new theme also really suited her. And Bully seems to be really coming into his own with this new character. But that God awful background music playing during the segment just had me in stitches. I'm so scared lol, yeah we're so scared cause the of the eerie music lol
Joseph Park vs Bad influence was how I expected it to be. Let's face it, nothing extraordinary was gonna happen as a result of this match. It just moved the storyline ever so slightly as Park now knows what that he's capable of using weapons when the monster within is unleashed.
ODB vs Tapa. What can I say? Predictable ending, boring match. Basically served no purpose other than to be a filler. A filler match is what it was.
The main event seemed fun and was probably the highlight of the show, although that's not saying much. The handicap stip added last minute should probably teach Sting to mind his business lol. EC3 pinning Sting was a nice touch at the end too.
The Magnus segments throughout the show were also something I enjoyed, kinda similar to what Bully did when he won the WHC, just not as well done. That just shows how good Bully's mic skills/storytelling abilities are, though.
Overall, ok show, I just expected more shock from everyone due to Magnus' actions last week.
Not a strong show to say the least. Last week they had a solid follow up to the Roode-Angle match this week none at all. Also no x division match again as the division has two wrestlers and they're on once a month. The tag team division used to be TNA's calling card now there's really no tag teams and the Bromans are the tag champs while Daniels and Kazarian are used to prop up this silly Abyss story. Sorry to see Daniels and Kaz's push screeched to a halt since Bischoff and Hogan left cause they were the most entertaining part of the show. The music playing in the background of Bully's speeches is silly. Magnus talking about the creative team took me out of his explanation. Why does TNA continue to try and pull back the curtain? It doesn't work ever. I don't get why Gunner is getting a push as he's not good on the kick just okay in the ring and doesn't have a great look. We also don't know who is the heel in him mini feud with Storm as Brian mention. Good for EC3 to continue to be pushed big by going over Sting, but the Hardy stuff has been done to death. I understand they need to right him out with the uk tour starting soon, but still. All in all, not a strong show or strong start to Magnus' run as champ.
I'd think he was a few years younger--he was a rookie during the mid-80s, and Hogan had been wrestling at least a few years by then. Didn't he get hurt by Vader and collect on an insurance policy or something like that?
