This was not a espicially strong edition of Impact, but not bad at all. There was some bad booking with brawls all over the place, which they already overdo, and a ridiculously overbooked TV title match and Garrett Bischoff in the Main Event. There was too much Sting too. Sting was back in joker mode again for some reason. It was also with uncreative finishes in the matches. The agents have to come up with some better than a roll up finish , no? That said, the X division match and the knockouts gauntlet matches were good. Storm was all over the show which is good.

The opening segment had some good mic work by Roode, but it had a ton of brawling which TNA has made meaningless as they overdo it to death. Styles can cut good promos, but not when he’s yelling and his promo wasn’t very good. The crowd was into the segment and hated Roode and loved AJ. The fans really don’t care about Dixie and they already did the heel goes after Dixie with Sting and I really don’t wanna see Dixie on tv. The attempt was to make Roode as a despicable heel and Roode attacking Styles from behind after he saved Dixie was more effective than the brawl. Roode telling Sting he’d sue Sting after he put his hands on him was a good old school heel line, but I’d rather him make a bad ass line The opening segment between Roode and Storm and Roode and AJ and Roode and Dixie and Roode and Sting was too much to digest. There was too much going on. Man Storm got backstage in record time after checking on Dixie.

Devon Vs Robbie E was a total cluster fuck. There was a minute of wrestling and you had tons of action outside of the ring. I mean you had Rob Terry taking out the Pope and you had Eric Young taking out Rob Terry and Devon’s kids getting involved and distracted Devon. I guess we’re back to Devon not wanting his kids to hang with Pope months after Devon was okay with Pope. Whatever this was horrible.

Aries and Kash Vs Kendrick and Sorensen was okay and told a good story with Aries poking the bear in Kash and Kash’s temper boiling over and Aries leaving Kash toward the end of the match. With Aries double crossing Kash at Turning Point and leaving Kash tonight it looks like they’ll have a match at the next PPV. I dunno if Kash is turning face or they’ll keep him heel and just go with a heel vs heel match.

The knockouts gauntlet was really good after the rapid eliminations early and terrible work by Velvet. The match ups between Tara and Mickie and Mickie and Sarita was really really strong. The gauntlet match was one of Mickie’s best in ring performances in her TNA career. I was expecting a overbooked match, but it was booked solidly. I will say Mickie's ddts looked a tad sloppy.

I loved Storm’s backstage segments. He has so much charisma and really has the it factor. He is one of the best and most likeable babyfaces in wrestling. I really liked how he tore down Ray after Ray bullied the orange haired woman. Storm has so much charisma that even a normally clueless promotion like TNA notices it.

The Karen Jarrett-Jeff Hardy segment was pretty bad. Karen is so damn annoying and screechy. Why she’s still on tv is anyone’s guess. Karen begging Hardy to hit here was uncomfortable. Hardy’s mic work was pretty terrible too. Hardy didn't look like a babyface when he grabbed Karen like that. Hey I rather Hardy feud with Jarrett than be world champ, but this feud still sucks.

I thought it was weird that Crimson and Morgan were so chummy after a physical match that had no winner. It’s funny how Morgan usually ends up being in a feuding tag team like he did with Hernandez and now Crimson or about to feud like he did with Abyss. Mexican America Vs Crimson and Morgan wasn’t terrible and I’m glad the titles are off Mexican America even if it’s on a makeshift tag team. I wouldn’t have a big issue with Morgan and Crimson being pushed as a dominant Road Warriors tag team and eventually feuding with The MCMG.

Bischoff Vs Gunner was a fairly short match and not bad actually. Gunner did a good job carrying Garrett, and as a reward all is his cred is gone after jobbing to Garrett. Garrett is totally not over. It is amazing how far Gunner has fallen when three months ago he went over Sting and Anderson and now is jobbing to Bischoff’s kid. It sucks that Garrett is getting pushed, but the sad fact is that almost everyone that has had power in wrestling end up pushing their kids.

Storm’s promo was excellent as he came off like a bad ass and a cool cat. He really is doing a great job with his oppurnity to be a top guy.Storm thinking that Styles was the guy attacked him made some sense as Styles did benefit from Storm being put out of action. Angle being Storm’s attacker makes all the sense in the world as Storm beat an injured Angle for the title, so it stands to reason that Angle would want revenge and in turn cost Storm his title match last week.

All in all, some good and some bad, but not a bad show at all and the show really picked up after the brutal TV title match. I’m really digging the main event picture.

Why is Kurt Angle back on TV *already*? This is like Undertaker trying to maintain a full schedule. What a dumbass.

Kurt either needs the money or they have no one to feud with James til they want him to go after Bobby on PPV or Kurt wants the attention. I have no idea why anyone in their right mind thinks we care about the Bischoff family. I do like what they are doing with the KO division. Now, will they pay it off with someone taking out Karen? Survey says probably not. At least they didn't change the title again.

I just wish I could enjoy the very good stuff they're doing with Roode et al, but seeing Hardy out there playing babyface and taking unprotected chairshots and seeing Angle come back a month after he couldn't walk leaves me with a sour taste. And that's without the awful Bischoff stuff and TNA Wacky Tag Team Champions #3,472.

Back on TV to beat up a guy doesn't mean Angle is back on a full schedule. He hasn't wrestled in what, 3-4 weeks? I doubt he wrestles until the next PPV (I don't know, I don't read spoilers). Kurt is banged up, and probably should take more time off, but I don't remember hearing he would be out of action for 6 months, and it's not like he wrestled an Iron Man match last night.

I like Crimson and Morgan together, I thought months ago that they would make a nice modern version of the Skyscrapers. Neither are going anywhere in the singes department, why not tag them up? They can earn each other's respect over time. It's actually similar to Ziggler/Swagger.

The Skyscrapers comp is a excellent one. I wish I would have thought of it. I also agree on Angle. If Angle gets in the ring at the next PPV it will be nearly two months since his last match which would be around the time it takes to get over a hamstring injury.

I hatehatehate Storm's frustrated looks to the ceiling during Styles's comments. He skipped past "defiance" and right into "resigned consideration." Even the TNA expressions move too quickly.

Sting as Garrett's new father figure holds no interest.

I don't recall saying it was. The neck injury isn't getting fixed without surgery and that might end his career. Should he have taken six months off? Yes. Two months does help with one of his injuries at least. He does work less house shows than ever these days, so it does help him a little bit.

Ive liked Brother Loves booking so far because he's reigned russo in, but the Robbie E match was like Pritchard telling Russo to get his overbooking rocks off. As I said in my impact spoiler post Angle attacking storm makes perfect sense. Very little of Mr Kennedy err Anderson on the show makes me a happy panda. I l;ove velvet but who trained her to wrestle? Rob Terry?

Hey graves I normally agree with you but I disagree with u about the opening yak and brawl fest. It had no struggle for control of the company like most opening promos do and it had Roode acting like a despicable heel and made the faces look noble people doing the right thing. It was effective. I heard Sting mention the motor city machine guns any1 know when they'll be back? cubsfan? soon right? I'm a huge mark for them as well as Aries who is doing a great job as the top guy in the x div. Impact continues to be a entertaining two hrs of TV.

Actually, Meltzer was bemoaning that specific thing this week - Alex Shelley is actually healthy (for a wrestler), but they're not bringing him back until Sabin recovers from his ACL/MCL injury. And that didn't sound soon, or at least soon enough for him.

Good. Bring them back together. If Shelley was wrestling now, they'd only turn Sabin for the shocking swerve.

They could have had Shelley feud with Aries and it would have been done by the time Sabin came back.

I like the idea of Morgan and Crimson as a Skyskrapers/Road Warriors type team. As a team, they could somewhat hide their weaknesses.

Overall liked that the Knockouts got lots of time. would have liked to see Rosita get some actual wrestling in but it fits her character to get pinned quickly. Sarah Stock showed up to wrestle! best she's looked on TNA TV ever! if only she was allowed to show what she's really capable of on a weekly basis. & at least Mickie got to look strong. The Knockouts are getting the chance to show that they can make the wrestling entertaining in and of itself. More please!

Agree n the knockout gauntlet match drew the highest rating of the show with a 1.41 quarter hour.
