I thought tonight's show was a big step down from the previous weeks and a underwhelming go home show to their biggest PPV of the year after building to the ppv very well the previous few weeks.

I did really liked the opening talk segment with Angle and Roode. Their promos were strong and focused and got the point across. I liked Roode's line about how whoever won would win because they had the most heart. They did a good job putting each other over in the promos as well. Roode continues to be confident and carry himself as a top star.

Styles and RVD Vs Daniels and Lynn was not as good as you'd expect. The match didn't get that much time and I didn't like the brawl backstage before the match as it's been overdone in TNA. Then again it hasn't been done all that much lately and it gave the heels a 2 on 1 advantage before the match. The build to the RVD-Lynn match has been pretty terrible. Neither Lynn nor Rvd has gotten much airtime lately and they haven't done much building or promoting the match. They did have a really strong match at Destination X and should have a another good match as Lynn still has it and has brought out the best out of RVD. Lynn hasn't been built up strongly and him jobbing tonight doesn't help him. I suspect he's done with TNA after BFG which is unfortunate. as he can add to the X division.

The Daniels-Styles feud on the other hand has been booked pretty well. I do wish they would have held off on a I quit match for later in the feud. I'm not sure where Daniels goes after this feud maybe the X Division? He's been very entertaining since he's turned heel.

Not real sure what to say about Joe Vs Morgan. The match barely got going and all of a sudden Morgan win with a fluke roll up and gets beaten down and Crimson runs in for the save setting up a triple threat match. Joe continues to talk a big game, but he also continues to job time after time and it gives the fans no reason to view him as anything but a fat jobber.

The Mic work in the Ink Inc-Mexican America segment was pretty terrible. Hernandez has got to be the worst promo guy in the business and Anarquia isn't any better. We're getting Mexican America Vs Ink Inc at the ppv for the tag titles, which just shows how far the tag division has fallen.

The Aries-Kash Vs Sorensen- Kendrick match was pretty good and Kash and Aries worked very well together until they got in a shoving match for no reason at all which lead to their loss. TNA could be doing so much more both with the X Division and Aries who could be a big time star if he's given a strong push. He is the best heel in the company this side of Bully Ray. I honestly don't think I have ever cared less about the knockouts division than I do now.

The Anderson-Steiner match wasn't any good and had a ridiculously overbooked finish with Abyss coming into the ring in front of the ref with a chain around his arm and trying to clothesline Anderson and accidentally nailing Steiner. As if Steiner couldn't job clean and now Abyss is a face again after being beat down by Immortal. I rather see him reunited with Kid Kash and go back to being his bodyguard. Immortal beating down Anderson means Anderson probably goes over Ray at BFG which sucks. You can't rule out Abyss running up and beating down Anderson in a shocking swerve though.

The backstage segment with Angle and Storm was very good with Angle stirring it up and Storm standing his ground. He did a good job of selling frustration over losing the match to Roode very well. I thought the hype video for Angle-Roode match was tremendous. I really liked Roode(who was way over in Knoxville) going over Jarrett and Gunner clean as a whistle with the crossface. I wasn't crazy about the Immortal beat down and Roode needing to be saved by Hardy. I understand the need for him to show some weakness going into the PPV but I'm not crazy with the attention being put on Hardy who doesn't have a match at the next PPV.

Hogan's mic work was okay the beat down not so much. As he threw a weak chairshot and weaker punches. The match should be a abomination. All in all not a good show with Russo's fingerprints all over the show and attention seemingly shifted from Roode's title chase to Jeff Hardy.

Good to see that the TNA answer to WWE's trainwreck of a show is to put on a different kind of trainwreck of a show.

Although, to be fair, this show was taped and in the can weeks ago, so they'll get the benefit of the doubt from me until next week.

Surely they have even less of an excuse if they've had weeks to work on it?

Hernandez isn't their best talker, but the stuff they give Mexican-America to work with is just terrible. I think he's generally alright, but he needs better material.

Besides, Abyss is the worst promo guy in the business.

Speaking of divisions that have fallen, remember when the X-Division wasn't just the same four boring people? You know, when they actually had enough to have an entire PPV based around it. TNA might as well just kill the X-Division and just have the four of them join the tag division, since that's what it's pretty much been lately.

I think we have to take a wait and see approach if they totally fucked up the Bobby Roode storyline. If he doesn't go over and they pin their hopes on Jeff Hardy then they are official as dead in the water as the CM Punk change storyline. If they didn't have a terrible track record, I wouldn't be worried for them to do the right thing. Yet, they do have a terrible track record and I am extremely worried they would pass over a guy who has been nothing, but loyal to them for a PPV match next month between two guys that are now a punchline for DUI jokes. I am probably not going to buy BFG due to some financial realities at home, but I am praying they do give the ball to Bobby since its one of the few things, they have done right this year if not the only thing.

I do think Roode is going over, and if they do the Storm feud it will be a couple of months down the line. I just don't really care for anything else happening on the show right now. Even AJ/Daniels is a rehash of a rehash of a rehash.

When the title challenger validates his shot by saying TNA need fresh faces in the title picture, you're showing your cards.

Also, Angle sounds like he's talking through dentures even when he isn't wearing a mouth guard. He's really starting to scare me.

I am all for a title match between them after what we saw in their match last week. But it would be a huge mistake to turn Storm heel, as he is equally over as a face as Roode. Hopefully they can do face vs. face and elevate both guys to true main event level. Hogan stated in an interview that Roode/Angle will be the main event, so I would imagine they put the belt on Roode, as they rarely end BfG on a down note, other than last year.

Do they dare have Sting AND Roode win?

Then again, when Hulk does interviews like this, I begin to question my own instincts.

I think, with the finish of Impact, they've all but laid the groundwork for a cluster-f booked finish to the match, involving Jeff Hardy.

Im glad I never watch Impact, and after seeing this episode I'm really glad. Talk about depressing.

Everyone treats each other like shit all the time... but not in an entertaining way, in like a... we're all large men trying to bully each other in real life way. Everyone is serious about everything... it's hard to describe, it's like the show has a thin film of scum all over it.

As if that is not enough, just seeing a washed up Sting painted like the joker and a shitty crowd that could comfortably fit in the lot behind my house with scattered "Hogan sucks" chants is just the perfect treat to leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Me and my friends popped for Jeff, but even we were like... oh they're gonna push Jeff again. Cool. Too bad he's a drug addict and it's gonna end in disappointment again.

My favorite comment on that:

"Ya know when everything you say turns into a promo, it means you need to retire, Brother! Sheesh, imagine him as a dad, a principal, or even a supervisor for someplace like Target. Target specials brother and we will bodyslam savings and deals brother! whatcha going do when these long flabby arms slams you out the door with savings!!!"

Angle used to look like a nice guy, then he had that pretend crazy look, now every time I see him I'm a little afraid to make eye contact with him through the television. At least he's not as overly jacked up looking as he used to be, but the new skinnier version is actually scarier.

My thinking was that Hogan's comments meant that Roode/Angle go on last, and that Roode would win to send the crowd home happy. But yes, grain of salt and all that.

I think you Roode/Angle go on last anyways to protect the show if Hogan blows something out early.

Hey at least he really praised Storm right? Yeah he's a dumbass and while he has a right to his opinion he shouldn't be sharing it on a radio show when the company he works for is building Roode up as a top guy.

Then he makes yahoo by bashing Obama and saying Cain isn't a real American. Nice way to sell a PPV. The main is a walking PR disaster.

The counter to these interviews is this interview that Hogan had with Dan LeBatard.

If he just focuses on selling the company and telling a few stories, Hogan can be a good PR force.

Someone should remind Hogan that he stole Real American from Windham and Rotundo.
