The Naturals vs. Frankie Kazarian & Maverick Matt Bentley: Shane Douglas, the Nats' new manager, does not stay at ringside during their matches, because they need to learn not to depend on him -- I don't think I've seen that particular twist before. Match is alright -- their old finisher was better (their new one is a missile dropkick / powerbomb combo). Oh, also, Kazarian and Bentley are more interesting, more charismatic, and more over, so this match kind of raises the question -- "hey, wait -- am I supposed to be rooting for the friggin' Naturals?!"

Shelley and Devine show Nash tapes of wrestlers from Mexico, Japan, and Madagascar while Nash dutifully takes notes on a little clipboard. In Madagascar, Shelley explains, they use a 2-sided ring. Shelley tells Nash that they're going to fly in two Madagascar wrestlers to train him! Nash tears up. Shelley: "Hold me. ...Okay, that's too tight."

Rhino vs. Robert Adams: Adams looks sort of like if Simon Dean stopped using the Simon System. GORE GORE GORE and then afterword Samoa Joe comes out and we set up up Joe vs. Rhino for next week's Impact! I'm not sure how that can end any differently than Rhino vs. Monty Brown did.

We check in with Team 3D. Ray addresses the fact that 3D has lost focus, become sidetracked, and fallen out of the Tag Team Title hunt. They're going to take some time off to regroup, and they'd appreciate it if Brother Runt would hold down the fort and BEHAVE HIMSELF. After they leave, Runt treats us to a wicked look that suggests that he's not going to behave himself at all.

Aaaand AMW is here and Gail Kim challenges Sirelda to a 1-on-1 match at Hard Justice. Wow, that's going to be pretty lousy, I bet.

YAAAAY ALL THE TAG TEAMS GET PROMO TIME TONIGHT -- Styles and Daniels bring out title match contracts, including one for LAX -- Konnan lures them over to the Spanish announce table where they get JUMPED by LAX. Daniels gets busted open by a belt shot! Homicide hits the GRINGO KILLA on Styles! Konnan signs the title contract in Daniels' blood! Hard Justice is shaping up already!

Bobby Roode singles promo -- he calls out the Main Eventers (Sting, Joe, Cage). Can he hang? I am doubtful but open to convincing.

Jeff Jarrett vs. Jay Lethal: For the title! I forgot to mention that Lethal is cashing in the title shot that he won last week, and he decided, on Sting's advice, to go for the WORLD title! I seem to remember a Lethal / Jarrett singles match before, but I wouldn't want to swear to it. Okay match -- Jarrett wins, of course (Stroke off the middle rope) but he needed Scott Steiner's help. Lethal looked strong, countering both the Figure 4 and the Stroke, and at one point taking out Steiner with a flip dive to the outside.

After the match, Jarrett and Steiner gang up on Lethal until Sting makes the save. Hey, WAIT -- so Sting encourages Lethal to go after Jarrett -- Jarrett has Steiner with him -- Steiner costs Lethal the match -- Sting makes the save after the match...why couldn't Sting come out five minutes earlier to counteract Steiner?!? It's almost as if Sting was USING Lethal so that he could get the drop on Jarrett post-match! Sting, you hypocritical asshole!

And there it was. Angle-heavy show with some fairly entertaining wrestling thrown in. The Styles&Daniels/LAX angle was awesome, and should lead to a great match. When does the X Division start being rebuilt?

What did you think?

Don't forget that at the end of the show, Christian went to Cornette's office to be in Sting's corner to make sure Steiner doesn't interfere in the Jarrett-Sting match.

Interesting, I think this could be their way of A) having Sting lose to Jarrett, but not end their feud and B) let Jarrett drop the title to Joe instead of Sting. Christian costs Sting the title, either by accident or a full fledged heel turn. Then we get Jarrett/Joe and Sting/Christian, but since Jarrett didn't pin Sting cleanly, Sting still gets the big blowoff win against Jarrett after that.

I'm suddenly excited about the tag team division again. I don't know much about Hotstuff Hernandez but I love Homicide and heard they had one of the better matches at the ppv. Bentley/Kazarian are a good team to. Throw in Naturals, James Gang, Diamonds in the Rough, AJ/Daniels, and AMW and maybe after they're done with the Sabin feud, Shelley and Devine? Team 3D taking a break is good too.

Gail Kim vs Sirelda will be awful, but atleast then it will be over, right??

Shelley and Devine are where its at in terms of the tag division's future. I want a Styles&Daniels/Paparazzi feud NOW, dammit.

The tag wrestling is actually whats drawing me more and more into TNA right now. It's such a lost art as far as WWE is concerned. WIth younger teams like LAX, The Paparazzi, The Naturals, and the Diamonds In The Rough mixed in with old hands like AMW, the James Gang and Team 3D, they've got the strongest tag division that North America's seen since 2000.

To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow

I gotta agree about the Tag Team division in TNA. It reminds me of the old school NWA days with the Rock n' Roll Express, the Road Warriors, the Midnight Express, the 4 Horsemen, etc.

And I'm glad that the tag scene isn't now just Team 3D, AMW & Team Canada.

Didn't see it last night. Was it presented thusly, or any hints about that? I can see this being used to start a Lethal-Sting feud, as Lethal blames Sting for encouraging him to go after the world title to "soften up" Jarrett for him, when he very well might have won a lesser title instead.

As a fan of tag team wrestling, thank God for TNA. Vince has had 2 of the greatest tag roster eras under his belt (late 80's and early 2000's) but just doesn't seem to care anymore.
And holy crap, Rhino is as over as any guy in any promotion right now! I think these crowds are behind him even more than Joe. He and Eric Young are 2 of the the most consistent reasons to watch this show, as well as Joe.

First time I have watched TNA in about 8 months, and FINALLY, they are giving me a reason to either hate somebody or cheer for somebody. They are getting it that CHARECTORS drive the action, not just vanilla personalities doing fancy flips all over the place.

Loved the AJ/Daniels pairing.

Jay Lethal actually looked like he belonged in a main event. Made Jarrett look good as well.

Love Zybisko's (or however you spell it) wig. The ref laughing at him was classic.

Less than a year ago, I saw Jay Lethal at a free Jersey All-Pro internet taping in the sprawling metropolis of Lake Hiawatha, NJ. You can see him standing next to me in the internet show. Seeing him fight for the NWA title was a mark-out moment. They handled it well, and this should be a boost to him. I, too, was wondering why Sting wasn't putting Steiner out of commision before the end.

Matt Bentley isn't Matt Bentley anymore; he's "Maverick Matt". I haven't seen someone go through names like this since Brian Kendrick was doing a gimmick on Velocity where he'd come out every week claiming to be local and naming himself after the local sports team. Yeesh. Pick something and go with it.

The Nash/Shelley bit was hilarious. Wrestlers from Madagascar! A two-sided ring! (I'd love to see *that*!) Unlike WWE, when TNA has two minutes' worth of comedy, they manage to do it in two minutes. And sometimes they manage to not insult our intelligence.

LAX should probably have won a few more matches before getting a title feud. And someone should have pointed out that Konnan can't complain about a lack of title shots when his guys have been *refusing to wrestle*! (I'm fine with the heel saying something preposterously hypocritical, just call him on it!) Still, I like this better than LAX vs. the "good" minorities.

All in all, a good show.

Jarrett and Lethal made each other in that match. Jarrett made lethal look like a main eventer and lethal made jarrett look like a chicken spit heel who has to cheat to win. The interference was well done as well, it made you think if it were'nt for stiener lethal may have had it. Good show all around.
