Jim Cornette announces the two Main Events for Lockdown. #1 is the Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle title match. #2 is a two-team, eight-man Lethal Lockdown match. Team captains are Christian Cage and Tomko, both of whom are out. This turns into a brawl -- two-on-one when AJ Styles comes out, evened up when Kevin Nash comes out.

Karen Angle is here and has an announcement...later!

A guy named Joel Anderson is here, from Survivor. Anybody who watches that show feel free to chime in here with what his deal is. Jonny Fairplay is absent.

Petey Williams vs. Curry Man: This is a qualifying match for the Xcape match at Lockdown. Petey poses and Curry Man dances. Rhaka Kahn disc tracts Earl Hebner but to no avail; Curry Man gets the pin with a bridging suplex.

After the match, Scott Steiner comes out, handcuffs Petey, puts a hood over his head, and lead him away. Back into the gimp box for you, Petey!

Cornette says he'll give Cage a match against Stomko if Cage can find a partner. Team 3D is here and says they are going to kill the Motor City Machine Guns, Shark Boy, Curry Man, and and reality show stars they happen to see.

Samoa Joe is out in a suit (!). He says he'll win the title at Lockdown, and if he doesn't, we'll never see him in a TNA ring ever again. He also seems to imply that we won't see him again before Lockdown, either -- huh.

Cage asks Rhino to be his partner; Rhino is all like, "um, no." Mike Tenay and Don West wonder why Cage didn't just ask Nash.

The Monsters vs. Motor City Machine Guns: Ehhhh. I like Rellik, but Black Reign continues to drain my will to live. Alex Shelley gets tossed and Black Reign throws Chris Sabin into Rellik's Decapitation Clothesline for the pin. MMG got pretty owned.

Black Reign calls out Super Eric; Super Eric comes out and easily tosses both of the monsters. On the plus side, it looks like Kaz has extricated himself from this mess.

AJ is happy to see Karen again.

Kaz vs. Kurt Angle: This is non-title. Kaz controls most of this match, even after taking a really ugly head-first bump to the outside. Kaz gets a bunch of near-falls (Pump Kick! Wave of the Future! Flux Capacitor!) but Angle snags an Ankle Lock -- not taking any chances, he immediately grapevines -- and Kaz taps out.

Karen comes out to make her announcement -- she wants a separation! Kurt thinks this is awesome -- he won't be distracted from preparing for his match with Joe! "You're taking care of the kids, right?"

Some sort of video package for VKM and I VROOM past it.

Rock n Rave Infection vs. LAX: This is a mixed 6-man with Christie Hemme and Salinas. LAX, as Tenay and West point out, are more aggressive than we've seen them in a long time -- Homicide actually gets some offense, and Hernandez just DESTROYS them -- Crackerjack! Spinebuster! HALF-NELSON FLIPPING SUPLEX KILLS Jimmy Rave. Suicide Dive onto Lance Hoyt! Hernandez is awesome. Homicide gets the Gringo Stunna on Rave and Rave tags is a supremely reluctant Hemme. In comes Salinas. Hemme hits her with a plastic Guitar Hero guitar for the pin.

WEAK, but it's just Salinas, so who cares. Salinas is actually a worse wrestler than Hemme; I like her fine, but if they're going to put her in the ring, they should've hired Mercedes Martinez. Well, I can't complain too much, since TNA has been pretty canny about the Knockouts they hire.

Jay Lethal and SoCal Val are on a date in Universal Studios. Sonjay Dutt pops up and steals Val away.

Velvet Sky and Angelina Love are trying to give Roxxi Leveaux a makeover. Roxxi resists, so the blondes spray hairspray in Roxxi's eyes and bounce her head off the wall. "We're JUST trying to MAKE you PRETTY!" Interesting that they've just turned their two most "Diva"-like Knockouts heel.

Gail Kim vs. Velvet Sky: This match features possibly the world's most awkward monkey flip. The rest is pretty sloppy as well. Despite Love's attempted interference, Kim pins Sky with the Kryptonite Krunch.

Love & Sky beat down Kim (crowd chants for ODB). Kim bails out but Kong is here and takes out Kim from behind. Love and Sky take off while Kong continues the beating. Raisha Saeed gets physical for the first time, with a belt shot and a Curb Stomp on Kim. ODB is finally out with a chair and chases off the heels.

Nash approaches Cage and is all like "why haven't you asked ME to be your partner tonight?" Cage and Nash make Wolfpac signs and the wolves smooch. Sweet!

Christian Cage and Kevin Nash vs. Tomko & AJ Styles: Alright, I guess, but more of an angle builder. Kurt Angle comes down but is sent to the back after interfering. Match is thrown out when Team 3D comes down and starts beating up Nash and Cage. The four heels all celebrate together.

I assume that that's Tomko's Lethal Lockdown team, right there. I'd like to see Cage & Nash recruit the Machine Guns, but it could just as easily be Kaz and, I dunno, the guy from Survivor.

Really big dude. Thinks he's better at strategy than he is.

I see Kaz and Joel as being more likely to be pushed right now than the MCMGs.

I'm glad to see Team 3D emerge unscathed from their consecutive PPV losses to cruiserweights. More camera time for Borther Ray can only make Impact better.

Less Karen + more Ray = total victory.

I don't see Kaz in the Lethal Lockdown match. He's given Kurt some very good matches, including another good one last night, but I see that decisive submission loss putting him back in the shuffle.

Is it me, or is the buildup for the Angle/Joe match going EXACTLY the same way as the last Angle/Joe match? If that's the case, then we should see Karen join up with Joe on next week's iMPACT! and then we'll see Karen turn on Joe at the PPV, where we'll all re-christen him as Joe the Giant Idiot.

Also...facially looks very disturbingly like Chris Benoit...in my opinion.

Now that you mention it, yeah! That's actually pretty funny. It'd be great if Karen tried to join Joe next week, and Joe was all "um, no, I actually remember how things went last year." I mean, they even showed a clip from that match, of Karen offering Joe a chair and pulling it back at the last moment.

Oh! One thing I forgot to mention that I was happy about: They had a video package for the debut/return of "Consequences" Creed! April 13 at Lockdown -- I'm going to guess he'll be in the Xscape match -- he'll have to be one of the final two to justify a hype package, though, I'd think.

On the surface, absolutely, but thankfully, the dirt sheets have already reported that they're using this as a way to write Karen out of the feud rather than into it this time. Even if the dirt sheets are wrong, though, we won't be getting Joe the Giant Idiot this time because of them scripting Joe to promise that we'll never see him in TNA again if he doesn't win this time.

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

I am not sure what I think about writing Karen Angle out. It seems like AJ vs. Angle could kick serious ass. However fake break ups of real life couples sometimes cause real life breakups. Or it could be a dumbass swerve where Karen was playing AJ all along.

What's not to like? He has an awesome mask. He can be convincingly threatening. He's got some nice power moves. His name is "Killer" spelled backwards. It's all there, man!

You had me at awesome mask....

Seriously, if they hadn't jobbed him out so much in the beginning, he could have been something. Plus, I really need him either to a)be more JBL like with his lariat or b)utilize a different finisher. I'd that he steal something from PWG/ROH/IWA. Watch a youtube video mutha fucka. If these smaller guys can pull off some of the sick shit I've seen, Rellik can too. I still remember marking when he fuckin' gorilla pressed Rikishi. Does anyone on the roster weigh that much? I say give him that "between the leg F-5" that Doi does. That would look very cool.

That is one kick ass mask though.

Cena can't be beat because he's some unholy genetic recombinate of superstars past. I mean, you might as well call him John "Realest of the Real, Sargent Rock - Cold - A - Mania" Cena.
