Alright show.

Christian Cage tells Robert Roode that Booker T is here to take Roode's spot. This leads to Roode challenging Booker to a match later tonight!

Eric Young and Gail Kim vs. Jimmy Rave and Christy Hemme: Hoyt is out too. This is pretty much what you'd expect, I guess; Kim gets a nice rana on Rave and rolls up Christy for the win.

After the match, James Storm comes out to challenge Eric Young's Drinking Championship. (Yes.) They have a 60-second drink-off -- with a ref and announcer and everything! -- and Eric retains! James Storm responds by SMASHING A BOTTLE in Young's face, busting him open! And there's a chairshot for good measure. This is the obvious direction for this angle to go, although honestly I was expecting Rhino to become Young's AA sponsor.

AJ Styles really wants Kurt and Christian to be friends. Tomko doesn't think it'll happen. Styles points out that Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie are friends again; so are David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen! Tomko: "Too much TMZ."

3D vs. Sonjay Dutt and Black Machismo: 3D has Johnny Devine with them; Devine has the stolen X Division title with him. This is better than expected -- Dutt & Lethal actually have a period of time where they are just MESSING 3D UP -- Dutt does a springboard cross body over the guardrail and into the crowd! Dutt hits a somersault Van Terminator into a garbage can and into Devon's face! Dutt and Lethal kill Ray with garbage can shots -- and stuff Ding Dongs into 3D's mouths! Ultimately, though, interference from Devine leads to the 3D on Dutt and that's it.

MMG save Dutt & Lethal from a beatdown.

Styles and Tomko try to talk Kurt into meeting with Cage. Styles says that Karen told him that they could be in both the Alliance and the Coalition! Kurt won't talk to Cage, so Karen will go instead.

Rhino vs. Rellik: Did you know that "Rellik" is "Killer" spelled backward? No? That's okay -- Tenay will tell us in every single Rellik match from now until THE END OF TIME.

Rhino wins with the Gore. Man, Rellik SUCKS at this. Does he KNOW that he's NOT SUPPOSED to get pinned? Does he think every day in TNA is opposite day? LEAST THREATENING MONSTER EVER.

Styles and Tomko talk to Cage. Cage is pissed at them, but finally agrees to meet with Angle -- and Styles runs off to fetch Karen. Cage: "Did he say he's gonna get Karen?" Tomko: "Yeah, Kurt said he's not gonna meet with you." Cage: "SONOFABITCH."

Karen and Cage meet -- Styles actually gets them to shake hands, and is so delighted by this that he hurls himself on the table and wriggles like a happy puppy.

Robert Roode vs. Booker T: They each have their ladies with them. Roode does okay, but eventually goes for a chairshot; Booker dodges it and hits the axe kick. He gets the pin and, I assume, Roode's "spot." Back down the ladder with you, Roode!

Cage comes out to help Roode beat down Booker -- Kaz is out for the save! And we've just booked a new tag match for Turning Point!

Steiner is with Crystal -- he's in an 8-man tag tonight, even though he doesn't like his partners or anyone else. (Rick's name does not come up, which I take as a sign that he's not coming back anytime soon.) Crystal tries to explain the "Feast or Fired" match to him.

(Okay: 15 guys are competing at once. There are four briefcases in four different corners [on poles, one would assume]. Three have titles shots, one to each belt. The last case has a pink slip -- you're fired! I don't know if it's possible to be eliminated, or if you can go for more than one case, or anything else. I don't think the match will be good [although it looks like this is where they'll be dumping XXX and LAX], but I am interested -- it has potential to set up some interesting stuff -- hopefully they won't just have a tag guy get the tag shot, an X guy get the X shot and so on. I'm also not sure that I believe that Jim Cornette thinks it's a good idea to randomly fire somebody.)

Kaz, Abyss, Scott Steiner and Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, Tomko and Christian Cage: This was pretty fun. Kaz looked like he belonged, even if was the Face in Peril. I like those spots where everyone hits their finishers in a row. Styles accidentally Peles Cage, and Joe Musclebusts Cage for the win. I know that Cage submitted to Joe already, but I believe that this is the first time he's actually been pinned.

So, yeah. I'm still not sure where the whole Alliance/Coalition thing is going, since neither Kurt nor Christian look like they're going to turn face. My guess is they join forces to screw Styles & Tomko out of the Tag Titles, and then claim that that was their plan "all along."

Steiner asking Crystal to explain the Feast or Fire match was pretty funny, I wish he would've taken it even further. "Wait, wait, so there are poles? With briefcases?"

Good stuff from Cage as usual and AJ except for his spaz out on the table.

I liked the Booker and Roode match and like that Roode and Kaz are getting pushed but I think I would rather they had their own single match then tag with Christian and Booker. So far I think there is only one singles match for the pay per view (Gail and Kong).

If Christian, AJ, Roode, Booker, Kaz, Team 3D, Lethal, Hall, Nash, Abyss, Rhino and Joe all have matches and none of them wrestle twice then who gets the title matches in Feast or Fire match? Am I crazy to hope Daniels gets the World Title match? Actually now that I've mentioned him he'll probably get the pink slip.

Does anyone know who may be done with the company and might be on their way out the door? I am crossing my fingers and hoping Kip James or Dustin.

Rellik looked like one of the cooler additions to the roster, but he's now 0-2 and has been cemented as a total jobber. Nice to know things haven't changed much for Johnny the Bull, no matter what his gimmick is.

You know, after getting a clean Ladder Match win over Christian and taking World Champion Kurt Angle to the limit, it should be somewhat disappointing to see Kaz go back to feuding with Robert Roode. And if Kaz does a job, I'm sure SOMEONE up there will believe Kaz will actually be elevating Roode. They're in for a big disappointment.

Christian and Styles are going to carry this company over the next month or so. They're the big reason to watch iMPACT! right now.

Not sure why you would assume Kaz is higher up the card than Roode. Kaz has beaten Christian and nearly beat Kurt but he's been pushed for about a minute and half, Roode has been pushed for about 2 years now, has beaten Rhino and Jarrett cleanly, taken Booker and Joe to the limit and beat Kaz right before he got his push. Roode has also been about 10 times better on the mic. I'd say at worst Roode is on the same level as Kaz, if not higher, and it'd be a pretty even matched feud if it wasn't for the fact that they just feuded 2 months ago.

Fun show. Only major negative for me was Rellik jobbing again. Not because I especially like the gimmick, but because he has far more potential than Black Reign. I really liked the BR concept when it first started, but now it's just comical. The rat isn't scary in the slightest and usually I find myself feeling sorry for the poor thing being manhandled. The black wig and ever expanding gut only add to the funnies.

The Alliance/Coallition segments were the highlights of the show. It's quite amazing that the loss of Tomko could be a huge blow to the storyline. I think his past with Christian played an unspoken but important part of the whole angle.

Samoa Joe has been looking really slow as of late. Obviously he was never exceptionally quick due to his build but for the past month or so he's looked a lot slower than normal. Is he injured?
