Aw, geez, guys, I totally forgot to tape Impact tonight. Observer suggests it might be the best Impact of the year, so I'm kinda bummed that there's no longer a replay.
***EDIT: Wow, it looks like Spike puts up full episodes on their website: Click Here (spike.com). I had no idea! Now I need to find a fast enough connection to actually watch it.
Here are the Q'n'D results.
There's a one-night tournament to crown a #1 contender, so every match except the Knockouts' is from that.
Bobby Lashley vs. Abyss: Lashley submits Abyss with the Dragon Sleeper.
Desmond Wolfe vs. Suicide: Wolfe wins with the Tower of London.
Kurt Angle vs. D'Angelo Dinero: Angle wins with the Angle Slam.
Homicide vs. Robert Roode: Roode via spinebuster.
Knockout Battle Royal: Tara wins, and becomes Knockout #1 Contender.
Desmond Wolfe vs. Bobby Lashley: Lashley by DQ after Wolfe refuses to release the London Dungeon.
Robert Roode vs. Kurt Angle: Roode via countout after Wolfe baits Angle into leaving the ring.
Robert Roode vs. Bobby Lashley: Lashley wins with the Spear and becomes #1 contender.
(Daniels vs. Styles is booked for Final Resolution already -- so Lashley will probably have to wait until January, or maybe he'll be added and make it a three-way?)
That's all I got. Apologies! Who here saw it?

These made me wonder if TNA booking early didn't help book Raw this week. Lashley's wife is obviously a heel in training. I expect Lashley to get his title shot taken away in some weird twist of fate.
I saw it -- first time I've watched Impact in a couple of months. Not a great show to come back to.
The tournament, as the announcers repeated endlessly, was for #1 contendership in the division that you normally wrestle in (so, for instance, if Roode had beaten Lashley, he would have won a tag title shot for Beer Money). I wonder whose brilliant idea it was to have the final match be between Guy Whose Last Opponent Drew a Dumbass DQ and Guy Whose Last Opponent Drew a Dumbass COR. Way to build up the suspense, huh? The matches were unmemorable three-minute specials, for the most part.
The women's battle royal was ... well, like every other women's battle royal. ODB was playing ref, and she acted a bit heelish afterward -- Tara offered her a handshake, and ODB slapped it away.
In non-wrestling occurrences, Daniels and Styles had a faceoff in the ring, with Daniels accusing Styles of stabbing him in the back. And Foley was running around backstage trying to find out who Hogan was bringing with him -- at one point, he had a conversation with Nash in which the names of Virgil, the Disciple, and Brian Knobbs were dropped, so hopefully that means it's none of them.
"The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now do you begin to understand me?"
In the space of this two hours, Hulk Hogan was promoted more than AJ Styles has been in his entire championship run, called the product boring in an interview, and was was singlehandedly credited with instantly making TNA the new number one wrestling promotion in the world. Gargh. And from Nash and Foley's interactions, it would seem that Bischoff is on his way back to being an on-air persona.

And TNA does what WWE doesn't - and allows streaming of their programs to Canadian residences.

That's a bonus for me. I like that a lot.
This is awesome!! It will most likely lead to me actually watching Impact every week.
If Foley is questioning the Hogan signing by Dixie, does that mean he will get fired, since he's not 100% on board?
And, doesn't Foley have a point, in that if he was the "executive shareholder," how could Dixie make a deal with Hulk and not let him know the details?
Foley does have a point in regards to shareholder status. That is why I think he is setting himself up as Hogan's first opponent. The more Hogan talks, the less enthused I get for his return. If they were smart, they would book Hogan as a face for a month and see the Impactzone reaction as well as the ratings to see if there is a positive reaction. I do think he will get a monster whenever he pops up, but I do think the cheers will die down when he pins Styles for the title.
