I dunno, it seems like every other week is pretty good, and then every other week is terrible. This week was pretty good.

I understand what they're doing with Serotonin taking on guys like Angle and Sting -- they want them to lose, to drive home the "losers get beaten" angle, but they don't want them to seem like jobbers. So they job them out to the tippy-top guys. Is it working? I don't think it is. Anyway, they're going to have to make this storyline do something soon. Hey, Senshi, Lethal, and Dutt aren't doing anything -- maybe a 6-man match would be fun.

Why do 3D get THREE segments focusing on them?

6 man was pretty fun and chaotic in a good way -- Christopher Daniels, Petey Williams, & Rhino vs. AJ Styles, Sabin, & James Storm -- three feuds all mixed up together. My favorite part was when Storm put on his hat and was gloating, and the Rhinon speared the crap out of him. They could really easily spin Rhino vs. Storm off of this, as well as Styles vs. Daniels (who argued but never really feuded after their breakup), and...well, I guess Williams vs. Sabin, if they wanted to.

Abyss vs. Tomko was alright. Christian had to sit in a little cage to keep him from interfering (it had a little "reserved" sign on it -- heh). They rather deftly folded the Angle/Joe feud into this segment as well. Abyss Shock Treating Sting and choosing to stick with Mitchell is a bit of a surprise -- it's probably just a set up to a swerve at the PPV, of course.

Kudos to whoever hed the idea to put commercial breaks between the ring entrances rather than during the matches. That's so much better.

Anyway. One of the better shows of the New Russo Era.

This just further cements Sting as the most gullible babyface of all time.

I thought when they went for the commercial break before the 6 man that it meant we would get more than a few minutes. But it still only got about 4, but it was good while it lasted I guess. I do agree, that is better than a 4 minute match interrupted by 4 minutes of commercials.

I tried to watch this while treadmilling last night, but an old lady beat me to the exercise room and she had the TV set to some show where doctors perform surgery on newborn babies. I saw lots of internal baby bits that I didn't need to see. I was listening to my iPod so I couldn't hear the gross baby show, but it was called Life's Little Miracles or something so I'm guessing none of the babies died, so that's nice, I guess. It was still pretty horrible, though. And the old lady in question bears a striking resemblance to good ol' J.R., which always creeps me out. She has his hair and his face, it's really something. Plus, I was on the leftmost treadmill, she was on the right treadmill, there was a mirrored wall directly in front of us, and the TV was up in the corner to my left. The upshot of all this is that if I didn't want to watch babies being cut open, I had to stare forward into the mirror, where it appeared that this hideous old lady version of Jim Ross was constantly staring up at me. She was staring at the TV, I know this, but still, creepy. So I have nothing to add about TNA, but I'll probably order their PPV this weekend anyway.

I don't know how soon, but it is going somewhere. They're being repackaged before our eyes. To that effect: they'll all be given new names. Yes, it's true - and I only know of one name. Devine will be known as Havoc. Can't recall what the others will be called. They're being beaten down to the point where they let Raven transform them into something more than what they are. Will it work? Meh. I doubt it. But at least Russo's doing SOMETHING with the mid- and low-card guys.

I hope your right ... I like the whole idea behind it, especially with Raven in the white suit. I just have a hard time buying into it when one of the guys is being referred to as "Maverick Matt" ...

KJames your post made me chuckle too much.....Can't comment on the Impact shows but I've just watched Genesis and Turning Point and enjoyed them both. Final Resolution looks like it could be a good card.

O-3 this week.

That show was worthless.

Bad wrestling, bad skits, treadmill angles.

Bad, bad, bad.

Wow, Michael Shane/Matt Bentley/Maverick Matt is getting a new name? That's exciting. I guess he's going for some sort of John Tenta memorial award there.

As Russo shows go, it was OK, I suppose. They did a good job of writing out Konnan and the PCS skit was very funny. ("Have you been living under a rock? Or in India?") But still not a lot to get excited about from a wrestling perspective.

It should also be noted that the contract was for 10 million dollars. As for Heidenreich, once LOD 5000 ran its course (months before WWE realized it had), where else was there for him to go? Certainly not another attempted main-event push.
