For about six months I have been intending to start a wienerthread to praise one "Tom Dean" for his /work. I am amazed as every time I read Tom Dean, I am in agreement with most everything he says. What I am to be loving about Tom Dean is that he is well aware that the WWE company has been in a retarded state for about a year and a half now and he doesn't sugarcoat that, but at the same time it's quite obvious that he wants to enjoy their product and wants them to do good. Tom points out all the aspects that he enjoys at the same time that he is calling the company out for doing something stu-pid. It's that wonderous in-between land where you are neither putting yourself above the product to an obnoxious degree nor becoming a lame ass apologist. It is not "looking on the bright side" just for the sake of not saying anything negative about a company that deserves to have many negative things said about them. It is not burying everything the WWE does just to "get yourself over," as we say in this industry. It is just a fair and insightful assessment. Kudos to Tom Dean!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember it being on RAW, and I believe sometime in early 1993. Ah, I recall it was in the days when the show was confined to the puny Manhattan center, giving it the feel of a rather unpopular game show.
