I am a strong supporter of HHH, usually, but I have to get this off my chest. Hunter's gotten slower since he came back, though he's picked it up in recent matches. I truly believe that the WWF is putting lots of stake into making HHH a face. Everybody wanted to cheer the guy for a long time, and they teased it. Then the breakup happened, and it was finally confirmed. Now, everybody says that it's all a swerve and HHH and Steph will get back together. I really hope it's not the case. The last three months will have meant nothing, and it would've been a waste of time. I think to ease our anxiety, I'll predict that Y2J will win at WM. Lord knows, Vince doesn't want to piss off the Canadians again. I just believe that Jericho did all he could as a face, and I'm enjoying him now more than ever. You know what would be cool, that Jericho looks like he hates being bossed around by Stephanie, then he'll go and say something about that turning him on, then he'll plant a wet one on her. If HHH does win, I might stop watching for a while, because I SO don't like having my time wasted.
Personally, I don't see a problem if HHH wins the title and DOESN'T turn heel. I'd like to see Jericho win, but it's been said plenty of times before, it's time a face goes over at Wrestlemania for the title. So Stef screws up, accidentally hits Jericho with a chair or something, Pedigree and it's over.
HHH can hit Stephanie with a pedigree afterward to assure everyone that he's not with her anymore.
For anyone who doesn't go to cfgb's site... my Being the Bookerman column on No Way Out sets out in details the reasons why Chris Jericho should retain the titles at Wrestlemania, and why I will be picking him to do so no matter the situation. Main point: If Vince wants to get richer, Jericho wins.
DREAM SCENARIO: Jericho cheats to almost win against HHH, but Benoit returns, pulls referee out, hits Stephanie with a chair (or Crossface), hits Jericho with a chair (or Crossface), 'causing him to stumble into KICK WHAM PEDIGREE (TM CRZ) and lose. Afterwards, Benoit attacks HHH, because HE CAN.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN: Jericho cheats to almost win, but HHH kicks out of Jericho's big moves...and ROID RAGES his way to victory with a Pedigree. Afterwards, KICK WHAM PEDIGREE for Steph, because HE CAN.
Holden: Judging by the buzz, that movie's gonna make some serious bank. Jay: What buzz? Holden: The internet buzz. Jay: What the f*ck is the internet? [Holden (Ben Affleck) & Jay (Jason Mewes) in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back]
The build-up to Sting/Foley has been pretty great. I just wish it wasn't for the title. The individual episodes have been fairly strong recently, but the complete collapse and failure of the MEM Vs. Frontline feud is just depressing.
