Thinking back on the glory days of WCW and the turning points that led to its downfall, it occurs to me that I'd love to be able to ask Hulk Hogan a couple of pointed questions.

"You know damn well that Sting should have given you the beating of your life at Starrcade '97. Did you play your creative control card to make him look like a chump? Did Nick Patrick deliberately do a normal three-count? And if either of those answers is 'yes'-- WHY?"

"And what the heck was the deal with the Fingerpoke of Doom? Did anyone actually think that was a good idea? And who was the egomaniac who thought to book that across from Mick Foley winning the WWF Title?"

If you were to interview any professional wrestling personality, who would it be and what would you ask him or her?

My girlfriend bugs me all the time about what kind of shampoo and conditioner Drew McIntyre uses.

I tell her that's not normally the kind of info I read about online... now she's looking for a twitter account for him...

Does asking Vince McMahon what was the reason he never brought back Macho Man count?

This is something I've thought about quite a few times.
Problem is, usually the questions are very 'smart' and there's no way you'd ever get a real answer.

But let's assume I'm sitting in a bar with Glen Jacobs, and we're having a laugh and we're very honest..
I'd ask him how he feels about the Kane character and about all the craziness they've put him through.
Does he care about the random persona, from a monster to ... a not-so-monster. Did he at one point feel like they were ruining the mystique surrounding him and if so, what point was that? etc etc.
It seems relatively harmless to discuss this and would be a good insight in the way a wrestler feels about his persona.

I'd ask Spike Dudley if I could buy a life insurance policy from him.

In Bischoff's book, he said that Hogan felt that Sting came back out of shape for Starcade and did not want to lay down for him, but he also says he ultimately agreed to do it and that the ref count was a screwup.

No way you'd get a straight answer out of Hogan or most wrestlers.

Is this a "What if?" type question where the wrestler is hooked up to a lie detector or closer to reality?

Cause if it is just being able to ask a wrestler any question you want, I'd go after someone who is at least somewhat likely to answer honestly.

I'd say "lie detector", "truth serum", or whatever deus ex machina you want to use. In a perfect scenario where you'd get an honest answer.

I'd also like to ask Vince McMahon what the hell he was thinking when he asked Owen Hart to do that damned idiotic stunt that cost him his life.

Exactly. And it was Russo's idea to do the whole thing as a goof on Sting. I've never blamed Vince or Russo for the whole thing, just the dumbasses that rigged it. I blame Vince a LOT more for putting the guys on the road 300 nights a year.

I would ask Al Snow "What does... *Al Snow* want?"

In all seriousness:

- Dixie Carter: "How do you justify spending money on a new world title belt when your midcard and women's rosters are making next to nothing?"

- Triple H: "Please tell me when you take over, you won't just continue the same vision as Vince?"

- Bobby Heenan. No question in particular, but I would pick his brain for as long as I could.

Questions I DID get to ask, to Paul London.

- The big cheesy grin towards Vince McMahon before his limo blew up: He and most workers were told "just stand there and react to him when he walks by". While most tried to act out shock and awe, he just did the first thing that came to mind. There were apparently 10 takes of this.

- Ashley Massaro appearing like Skeletor: medication. tons of it.

- The infamous burial of he & Kendrick at the hands of Triple H: Basically just another ego boost. H tried to pass the blame, going all "Hey man so sorry, that was totally their [writers] call, I had NOTHING to do with it..." A theory that was quickly agreed upon as bullshit.

- Impressions on Vince: confirms a lot of the bad things said about him, ie: being in his own world, etc. In a writer's meeting, he once made a young writer stand up and explain to everyone what a burrito is because he (Vince) had no clue what it was...

Ok, Truth Serum questions:

Shane McMahon: How pissed off are you that your sister took your birthright?

Stephanie: So...Randy Savage...what's the deal?

Dixie Carter: Do you even realize that you've put together the same team that killed WCW? And, you're screwing Russo aren't you?

Jeff Jarrett: You do realize that nobody has ever wanted to see you in a main event?

Mine would be: (Truth serum)

to just about any Vet - who's the most fun on the road, who's the biggest jerk?

and
To Dusty - what do you think of Sid Vicious?

and
to Vince McMahon - why Steph over Shane?

and
to any jobber from the 80s (Barry Horowitz come to mind, but any of them). What big stars treated you very nice backstage and in the ring? Who treated you like dirt?

and
To just about any vet - who works the stiffest?

If this was about anyone else but Vince; I'd have to wonder if he was making that up, but with Vince; it makes total sense.

I can very much believe he's not only never eaten a burrito; but never seen an ad for one on TV or been to a restaurant that would have one on the menu.

I'd like to ask both Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels if they've really buried the hatchet and gotten to be friends, and I'd like to ask Arn Anderson how he feels nowadays about Sid.

I'd also ask Chavo how he's holding up (even years later) after the deaths of Eddie and Chris. Must be an incredible burden to bear.

I'd ask Sunny and Melina to compare notes and see who's slept with the most wrestlers.
