hey...odviously my threads rub people the wrong way...hell, i've only been watching wrestling since 1986..non stop..examining every take-down and studying every program. And, because of just basic time I believe I have a fat head full of knowledge and a very good and smart oppinion on the business. For some damn reason a lot of people on this "weinerboard" seem to be extremely arrogant. Someone who thinks they know everything usualy dont know anything. How long has the majority been watching wrestling ??? Five..maybe ten years.
Anyway, we all have one major thing in common, we're wrestling fans. Isn't that enough to build a common bond. We should be defendeing each other against the idiots who dis the business I love all together. Whatever.
If Shawn Michaels wins the World title tonight I'll go balistic. HBK is a great talent who I respect and who I appreciate every time I get to see him perform.
Triple-H is also a talent. I respect him for his pain, I respect him for his dedication to the business and his company,I respect him for the hard work I've seen him put into his job and I respect him for playing subperb locker room politics.
I have a hard time raising my arms in praise to the man, however.
He's buried half the Raw roster and let the other half live in obscurity. All the while holding that World title with a tight grip like it was his only child. Hey, I wont say Triple-H doesnt deserve it, he does. But, come one, now. Even Steve Austin didnt run with the title like that.
In all essence the title belt is a "prop" not a championship. It's used as a means to sell tickets, add worth to matches and put over superstars. At it's current state I don't believe it's doing any.
Triple-H is as over as he will ever be.
Tonight's match on RAW holds a lot of excitment, however. Triple-H vs. Shawn Michaels is a big match with or without a title on the line. And, HBK could win it...especialy since the show is airing from San Antonio, Texas tonight.
But, I'm sure everybody's already thought about this, huh ??? Well, I think the shocker would be if Orton and Batista turned on H tonight and HBK became the new leader of Evolution (with or without Flair)and had a run with the title. I dont know how good a face turn would treat H nowadays but other than a brand jump, how can he raise interests? A Lesnar/HHH program would be hot.
If HHH is stale, it's his own fault. And, if HBK does win the strap tonight(does Mankind help?) he wont hold it long giving the belt back to the owner.
That's right, HHH owns that hunk of hardware. He has to. It's his as much as his shoes and car are( not so much now that he's married).
At an Astro's home game in Milwaukee of all places, Carlos Zambrano throws the Cubs' first no hitter since Milt Pappas in 1972. He threw 110 pitches, walked one (and hit another) and struck out 10. Congrats, Big Z.
