Do they use CPanel? If so, then it's a great deal.

Consider this a shill if you want, but I've found over my Nine Glorious Years (TM) on the Internet that with webhosting, you get what you pay for.

If you want a CHEAP webhost, try Skyfire Hosting, which has hosting for $6.95. We have CPanel, PHP, MySQL, the works, and we're glad to help you get your site off the ground.

Disclaimer: I run Skyfire Hosting. There, I said it.

I'm not sure if they do or not. To be honest I have no clue how to use most of the services they offer and have nothing to do with the space for the time being anyhow. But if it's as legitimate as it sounds, which a minor amount of googling seems to suggest it is, I figured I might as well sign up in case I ever need it in the next three years.
They do a really simple phone number verification and ask for no info that could in anyway lead to billing.

Disclaimer: I'm in no way connected to this company or product, I'm just trying to pass on the info in case anyone was interested.

Just pray that they don't charge you through your phone company.

Phone companies will allow any business to charge any one of their customers. It's up to the customer to dispute the charges if they think it's false, or are lucky enough to catch it if they actually read their bills.

The Washington Post had a write up on this about 5 weeks ago about this very thing and how it's still going on and Verison (our local phone co.) doesn't do jack squat because the burden of proof is on the chargee, not charger.

I would link the article, but their website only has a 2 week window.

I hear where you're coming from. All I can say is I was pointed to the site by someone I trust not to steer me wrong.
Also, I'm happy to live in Ontario where the phone company is slightly more regulated and trustworthy.
All the same, I'll keep an eye on my phone bill.

And the winner is...Miss Australia. I was a little surprised that the final two were Australia and USA. The latin countries were relegated to lower runners-up. I had my money on Miss India and Miss Paraguay.
